Definitely the best place in town to take your vehicle. We have used Hometown for our company vehicles for years and also my personal vehicle. Always great customer service, very trustworthy! Thank you for everything!Service: General repairs & maintenance
They were super knowledgeable, respectful, and very transparent with their pricing. Would recommend to anybody in Albuquerque!Services: Auto maintenance
Been going to these guys for years and I've never been disappointed. The price is fair but their honesty has been priceless.
I waited for 10 minutes is the front office for someone to some out. Decided to give the them a call and ask about the tires that I would have bought from them. The individual who answered quoted me $115 a tire with no idea what tire they were quoting me. Then they got surly and disrespectful when I commented that I was in their front office when they used them not "being in the front office" as an excuse for not being able to give me more information on the tires they were trying to sell me. I don't know what their problem is, but they have an abysmal attitude towards customers. Edit: 28 Jan 2020 Three years later Well, I suppose that tells the tale of Hometown Auto's customer service. I did not think I was more important than other customers. I just decided to call the number after physically watching the owner leaning back in his chair and reading a magazine for 10 minutes. Considering that I called ahead I thought I was being quite patient. But in the end, I ended up spending over $800 at Big O for tires. They're customer service is Fantastic I never asked for cheap tires. I asked what they had in the size I wanted. It was too much trouble for them to provide the information. Probably because I wanted to make my own decision about what tires I was going to run rather than giving them the go ahead to just pick for me based on price I can tell you that when I get tires for my truck, it's going to cost over $1k and Big O will be first in line since they've stood behind their work and are trouble free to deal with. It would not be fair to exclude my other experiences with Hometown. They are EXPERTS at auto diagnostics. When it comes to turning wrenches and figuring things out, they are top notch. If you can get past the "I'm more important that God" attitude and don't dare question what they are doing, you're all set.
I believe Hometown Automotive to be fair and honest. They seemed a little harsh at first and maybe even made fun of my car a little, but in the end the results were better than I could hope. I had used them once before a year ago and thought they did good work at a good price. Tried them again in August of 2016 on a bigger project. I could not be happier.
Stacy and his guys are awesome always fix my cars and back on the road. He’s replaced my engine and transmission/clutch on my vehicles always with never any issues! I no longer live in albuquerque but still manage to get my cars to them to be fixed. I know it’s hard to find a good mechanic but this is the place to go.
Stacy is awesome! I have been having a hell of a time with my Jeep. He got me in immediately, worked with my warranty company, has personaly called me with updates, and even gave me a timeline of when to expect the repairs completion.
If you are a woman or own a BMW stay away from this place. Stacey had been highly recommended by the car dealer I bought my car from but was warned he could be testy. Rude and offensive are better words. I made an appointment in advance for a simple trip inspection, dropped it off and came back an hour later to see when he could get to my car. His technician told me when I dropped it off that they hate working on BMWs and Stacey reiterated. He accused me of being demanding, went off on an an almost unintelligible rant then told me the keys were in the car. Avoid this place like the plague.
