wow. i came for craft cocktails and found fine dining! dinner highlights included radioactive-green chlorophyll focaccia, oily and spongy and springy with house honey butter; sour funky kimchi-pickled nightshades; a bright and warm tamarind-coconut kuri curry with jalapeño and green frills over rice; and lamb breast, my god, slow roasted and so succulent, served with house kefir and roasted roots and quince. i had the new umami makgeolli cocktail, and my companion had the ocean martini. luxe! a decadent bushwick dinner to bring a date you want to impress, or to let your parents take you out to, long as they're guaranteeing your apartment
You really mead to check this place out! Omg lolz. They brew their own mead in the back, which is a total Viking move. We came here by chance because it was pouring down with rain. We were greeted by one of the friendliest bartenders ever - Hudson. He proceeded to fix us up with the most fantastic cocktails ever, gave the best recommendations, and I ended up taking some bottled mead home.
I went to close out my tab and, oops, they didn't have my card anymore. I guess they gave it to someone else who then made fraudulent purchases with my card. OK, accidents happen, but the staff were astoundingly unhelpful and rude. They told me they didn't have my card with a dismissive shrug and acted irritated when I asked them to double-check that my card really was in fact, gone. Not even an apology for their mistake. I had to get a new card and ask my bank to decline the fraudulent charges which the bank, infinitely more helpful than the Honey's staff, did without complaint.
Great spot for a date night or night out with friends when you want something different. Some of the best meade compared to others I’ve tried and the vibe is nice in there. Prices are high but so is the ABV. It’s pretentious but it’s supposed to be.
This was such an interesting place! My friend and I walked in just to get a drink before a show, but we didn't realize it was a mead bar. The bartender asked us if we've ever had mead before and we said no. So then he took out glasses 4 for the each of us and gave us a free Mead tasting. I didn't know what to expect but needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. The Mead he gave us was dry crisp and had a variety of interesting flavors and notes. It tastes like a dry wine and has very little sweetness. The interior is very nice and there's actually a Distillery right behind the bar. Overall it was a very pleasant experience with the bartender was very passionate about Mead.
Delicious mead. Came from long island to test this place out. Not alot of meaderys out by me. Really enjoyed the St. Crimson as my favorite so far. If you are a red wine person that's your best bet. Also has a rooftop and has random pop-ups come thro here. Unfortunately I did not grab the bartender name as he did a wonderful job.
This place used to have the best chicken tenders in the US. Unfortunately nowadays they are not nearly as crunchy and you only get 6 little tendies. It makes my heart sad, because they have fell so far. The bar is really nice however.
Absolutely delicious mead. My first time trying it but I want to come back! It's also the perfect date spot. A little out of the way but the interior is so bright and open with cute little tables to sit at. Happy hour isn't the cheapest but it's ok, I came for the experience of drinking mead! Only 4 stars right now because I haven't tried the food, but don't worry, I'll be back.
i’ve been in the neighborhood since 2007, and honeys always reminds me why i love living in this corner of brooklyn. pre-pandemic times: so cozy, and delicious cocktails. came here recently for outdoor dining and their hot pot is soooo good! appreciate how hard they clearly worked to adapt to these times while considering comfort
Super friendly staff, splendid house made mead, and creative and super delicious food. A win through and through
