My appointment was 3-15-24. I have been a patient at Hope Care Center for years. The staff was very nice, helpful, and informative. I want to thank Nurse Shelly who went beyond measure to assist and accommodate my condition...
I have been going to this clinic for several years. It used to have volunteer doctors who had a heart to come and help people who do not have health insurance. Over the years, I've experienced improved services from the waiting area, the TV that displays healthy messages, the appointment reminders by phone and text, and the services that they provide. Dr. Ott and the other doctors have been exceptional. And the lady at the front desk remembers by birthdate and she's been wonderful. HFC is a diamond in the rough nestled on Prospect Ave. They are experiencing growing pains but they've met the demand and it the quality of their processes has improved. They are vital to the area and they have shown me the utmost courtesy and respect especially on my worst days.
Only visited once and am new to area, and picked because proximity and is “preferred” by my insurance. Had no problem with doctor he seemed good! As an organization I give it a zero!!!! They ordered tests at places out of my insurance network. When I called to get the the correct locations, every single time I left a message that was never returned 5 times and spoke with 2 people who promised to call back and never did. Unprofessional to say the least, all I need is a test preapproval and they could not handle that. Now I have my insurance company take over DO NOT GO!!!
I had to visit since I didn't have an established primary care and this was the only place that could see me without a 6 month wait. The location is very clean, staff friendly, and doctor Ott was attentive to my needs, listened with empathy, and gave thoughtful guidance to my situation.
This office is completely useless. They try everything they can to not see patients. Even trying to call weeks in advance some how they never have a doctor available even though the place is always empty. I think they just hate seeing black people
I was searching and searching for a family clinic and everyone said that there’s no openings till July or November and I really needed to go to the doctor then I found hope family care center I called and there was definitely openings I was happy my experience going there was great dr ott and staff are great no complaints
Very friendly, but our situation came to little or no avail. Loved the environment & painted mural. Sad my Son was not able to receive much assistance, in his diagnosis to date...
Do NOT go here. This place is not run right. They claim to be helping people that are uninsured or low-income and instead stick people with bills that they can’t even afford. Try to ask in advance, and you’ll get the run-around. No one knows what anyone else is doing, and I’m just not that stupid to get stuck in the end. They claim that they go over financial help in advance and don’t. Instead, they want you to show up, fill the paperwork out, see a doc, and then be told you will pay the full fee of $150-200. They get you there based on lies and hope you won’t leave. Why not be transparent to ensure you get paid promptly, for starters? They decide the fees when they feel like it. What a nightmare for anyone needing healthcare and in a bad position to begin with. An excellent way to screw people’s credit up and leave them even worse. Then you owe that, and what can’t go back or owe thousands if you do? Unprofessional. Be thorough and correct, or it’s indeed NOT helpful. Scammy, to say the very least. Call around if you are uninsured, and you’ll find much better prices than their full price and a much better atmosphere. Don’t be fooled.
Dr Kettler and her nurse were exemplary; smart, compassionate, kind. Front desk staff was wonderful. I look forward to returning for my next check up.
We've been coming here for a few years now and the past more recent times I've gone 3 times now in 2 months, the care has gotten a lot better. I think the Clinic has had many hiccups in the past 5 years with doctors leaving and then finding replacements and seeming understaffed. At one point, I was pretty close to leaving, as well. I have been through the not-calling-back after leaving messages and the rude receptionist, but it seems as though the place is turning a new leaf. I was really upset in the summer when I kept getting called about my kids' who "may lose their medicaid if they don't come in for their well check" which is not true at all. The supervisor never called me back about that after leaving 2-3 messages. That was frustrating. But now, it seems the staff is really courteous and they have gotten some new doctors to whom my children have really liked. They now also have a separate line for just scheduling appointments which is newer. In the past, I was never able to get to someone to make an appointment and would always have to leave a message and wait for a call-back. Now, I'm always able to talk to someone to make an appointment through this new service which is REALLY helpful. I think they noticed their lack of excellence in the past and have really tried to come back. So far, it's been working! Thanks!
