I recently moved to eastern Connecticut from Virginia and had been researching flight schools and aeroclubs in the region. Decided to drive to Providence/Warwick area from Groton, CT and check it out. Simply put, Horizon is a very well run operation. I was greeted by Alex who was also on the departure end of a very thorough telephone conversation with another prospective customer. Very good phone skills. As she was taking care of some other business Mr. Zeke Valtz [the owner himself] took control of the situation and took it upon himself to simply have a chat with me, find out what my goals were as an aviator, and then took me to the hanger and flight-line to show me the aircraft and provide some further information about the operations. He is a very professional gentlemen with a keen eye on both service and safety. He was very up front and transparent on what the policies were but I think genuinely cared about me as not just a customer but a fellow pilot in achieving my training and leisure goals. I would recommend anyone interested in beginning training or continuing training stop in to Horizon.
