Great staff except for the front desk person who seemed annoyed that guests wanted to check in. The hotel itself captures the spirit of the city with its decor. The pool seems like it'd be fun in the summer. The walls are pretty thin but that seems more common nowadays. I'm sure once the renovations are done it'll be an even better stay. Do really appreciate that it has a parking garage too.
Leisure trip stayed in this hotel for while in town for thanksgiving. Concierge: Over all they were great, when we called and needed something they were very attentive. Location: The location of the hotel was very convenient we were a 12min walk from Beale St. Room: The room was very spacious and had everything we needed iron, ironing board, mini refrigerator etc. Bathroom: The bathroom was interesting, the door does not give you a lot of privacy. It is a sliding door and is the same size was the door opening and since it is on a rail their is a significant gape that you could clearly see the person in the restroom. Also, the door wouldn’t stay close whenever we would slide it to close. The shower was small, I’m 5’7” and felt a little claustrophobic in the shower. The sink was oddly tucked in deep and if you had to use the sink you have to lean in a bit. Cleanliness: For the most part the lobby was clean and hotel room was somewhat clean. We would see stains throughout the room on the wall and floor in the room. Parking: They offer parking in the hotel parking garage for $22 a night or if you’re lucky and see an open spot in front of the hotel you can park there as well which is significantly cheaper.
Was not at all impressed by this hotel. For the price I paid, I was expecting a room of quality and cleanliness yet got dirty floors, stained linen, and broken appliances. The room was nice upon entry but after my partner and I settled in for the night we started noticing things. There were quite a few stains on the top comforter, the toilet holder and shower basket were practically broken, and the bathroom floor was so filthy I could see the dirt foot prints. Thankfully, I brought my slippers and just laid bath towels on the floor. I couldn't find a plastic laundry bag in the room and was shocked that housekeeping had none to give us for our dirty clothes. They couldn't even give us just a basic trash bag. Don't get me wrong, the room was bearable for our two night stay, however, it's way over priced for what we got. At the very minimum this hotel should be no more than $65/night. For pros, the bed was comfy, we had no issues with the AC, and the location is very convenient.
