This hotel is closing August 1st 2021 to be demolished. No word yet if it will be rebuilt but we hope they will build a new convention center on the site. I will post on here if that is the case. Pretty much everyone knew the property was aging and Ramada did their best with a aging-sprawling hotel/conv center that needed a lot of maintenance.
Hotel has lots of potential. The name or brand changing seems to be a bit clunky. The public areas are nice and clean. We've stayed here before and the coffee shop was nice, however I don't think it was open this time. Rooms are a bit dated and clean. The tub was very slippery and unsafe. We bought tickets for breakfast that was more than continental and it was not worth it. Cold waffles and potatoes, a few sausage, no eggs. Worker came out with pan of eggs and said no not for this place and promptly walked back into kitchen. Again it is nice overall place, beds were comfy. Management really needs to figure out what they want to do here and update it. So I can not recommend Castaways as I didn't eat there. Really easy access from I-80, but difficult to find without hotel signs. There was a fairly large convention going on and I overheard quite a few complaints but our stay was good except the breakfast. And being pet friendly is big plus!!
I believe that this has to be one of the worst rooms I have stayed at in my life. Very dirty room, my fiancee spent 45 minutes wiping everything, and I mean everything down. Crumb and dead bugs under the 20 year old mattress, food stains on the carpet, no coffee, even at the front desk. The restaurant was very good, Cristina was AWESOME !
The gem and mineral show was wonderful. The convention center is quite large so there was plenty of room for tables for venders and covid 19. It was a little confusing on what part of the Rramada it was at and there was some construction going on You had to manever around it. There were plenty of directional signs around the construction. The gem show which will be there tomorrow also, is well worth seeing. There were stones and crystal there that I have never seen anywhere . The prices are really reasonable . The front door greeters took your temperature made you wear a mask . They were happy and friendly and made it a very comfortable opening to the show and shopping and to safe covid-19 practices. I bought a beautiful Dragons egg there. It's gorgeous. Go check it out on Sunday you will glad you did. Anyone thinking of doing a show or having vendors at the Ramada would find it a nice spot to do it.
I really enjoyed my experience here with the convention center.... They really know how to take good care of their guests... And provide what a person needs... Also they have a few different rooms... Including a hospitality room and a pool.... This place is great for the entire family.... Plenty of stuff to do
I stayed here back in August and found bed bugs in our bed as we were being evacuated for a fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason! Thank God we realized there were bed bugs! I was promised to be reimbursed for the damage caused by the dryers they use to kill the bugs and their eggs. All of my family’s shoes were melted, the plastic parts on my bras were melted, and we abandoned our suitcases in fear of bringing them home. I was told by the staff there that “unfortunately this happens often due to it being a large convention center”. It’s been almost 6 months now and I have gotten nowhere! I’ve reported to the Better Business Bureau and I made a report on the National Bed Bug Registry. I have emails promising me reimbursement and I’m disgusted by the way this so-called “corporation” handles it’s complaints. Upon further investigation, there had been a report of bed bugs made on Google just the week before my stay in the room right across the hall. This is proof of negligence and that this hotel is a total nightmare.
We was there for a month. It was great. In door swimming pool, restaurant., they had a full bar life size chess game, the restaurant had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have indoor and outdoor rooms, some rooms have mini kichens, this was in Omaha, Nebraska
I just completed a stay and probably would spend the extra money and stay at Great Wolf Lodge vs another Co-Co Key area. I hadn't even checked out yet and the housekeeping staff had entered my room while I had the DND sign up and was loading my car. They threw away snacks that I'd had set out for my child and drinks for my drive home. They said since I used a Dealgarden coupon there wasn't anything they could do for me and I had to contact Dealgarden directly. I'd find a better place to enjoy a waterpark vs here. Spend the Extra money and find a great wolf lodge.
This place definitely needs some work. The conference area was fine, but the rooms were meh and an entire section was without hot water the whole weekend.
Circuit assembly of Jehovah's witnesses it was a very good learning environment, could hear all the speakers well. Was comfortable, too
