Hotel St Marie

Stayed here for several nights for an anniversary. Money well spent. It is far enough away to not be too loud. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They will tell you where to go--what is safe and what is not. The hotel is pretty classy. Has a valet so you don't have to worry about parking. Rooms are clean, but the bathroom needed a little work door was water damaged but these buildings are old and perhaps it cannot be helped. The balcony is cool if you want to hang out and watch it all happen but it's a little far from bourbon itself so you're mostly seeing people get into and out of their cars to head into bourbon street, than watching the action itself. Has a nice restaurant and bar with a friendly bartender.

Stayed here for our anniversary. It was a really nice place. They got you covered for parking and will park your car for you in their garage. The staff was all super friendly and efficient. The security made our family feel safe and gave us great tips for the city at night. The room was nice. I love that this place feels like NOLA and not a generic hotel. Rooms were quiet and the noise from the street didn’t go into the room. I liked it and would stay there again.

This will forever be my favorite New Orleans hotel! I love how I walk out the doors and I’m steps away from bourbon st! EVERY staff member is amazing! They are so attentive and so friendly! The rooms are beautiful, the beds are so cozy, the rooms are super clean! The pool is beautiful and clean! The pool and garden area is so peaceful and beautiful you forget your steps away from bourbon! You can tell management is at the top of their game because this hotel is amazing In every aspect!

From the moment we walked in we had an amazing experience! We were greeted as soon as we walked in, we checked in, valet service got our bags for us, walked them to our room and parked our vehicle. Once arriving to the room a few moments later we received complimentary champagne when planning trip I told them it was my husbands birthday. We loved our junior suite room, it was so nice and clean. The location is perfect, we were able to come back and drop off items from shopping and refresh right down the road from everything. We also never once had to ask the hotel staff for anything, we always had plenty of towels, etc! We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

The hotel is a block away from Bourbon street which can be noisy if you have a room right on Tolouse. Noise machine drowned most of it out. Upon arrival we were greeted and promptly given our room. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms could use a little maintenance and bleach in some areas, but overall clean. The restaurant, Cafe, and bar are excellent and their choice of meal and drink options are great and taste good. The staff is amazing and kind. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with grits and I could have shared half, it was pretty filling. Overall we loved our stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, while still on a quiet/peaceful street. Pool and courtyard was very nice. Room itself was very clean. My only complaint was the tiny bathroom but otherwise a perfect stay!Rooms: 4/5

This was a fantastic stay!! The hotel staff were above and beyond great!! Extremely friendly and extremely helpful. The staff made my stay very special!!! The location is prime. Getting access to anything was in walking distance, real walking distance not power walker 3 miles distance. The hotel room was elegant and very nice size with comfy beds. This is my go to for New Orleans.

Great location in the French Quarter! Close to Bourbon Street but none of the noise. Wonderful little coffee shop inside with delicious coffee and yummy pastries and a scrumptious grits bowl with cheese and bacon. Superb customer service with the best recommendations for where to eat. Listen to them! Last but not least... there's a beautiful courtyard area with a crystal clear pool that looked so inviting but unfortunately it was too cold to take a dip. Highly recommend this hotel! Rooms: Huge room but cramped bathroom with roomy shower. The mattresses were too firm for my taste. Nice linens and comfy pillows. Nearby activities: You're surrounded by the French Quarter! Bourbon Street is right there! Easy to get to everywhere. Recommend getting a pass for hop on/off tour and day pass for the streetcars. Safety: Felt safe the entire time of our stay! Doors lock at 10pm. Only way in is with a room key. Walkability: Convenient to anywhere in the French Quarter. Food & drinks: Did not eat in the main restaurant but loved the little coffee shop.

Our stay here earlier this month was awesome! I brought my mom to New Orleans for her 60th birthday. After reading the reviews for several hotels, I always came back to this one & I'm glad I did! The customer service was great! The hotel provided a complimentary bottle of champagne for my mom. The location is great & close to Bourbon St. The room was very nice, spacious, & clean. The bed & pillows were very comfortable as well. My mom didn't want to leave! Everyone we came in contact with was very nice & pleasant. We will definitely be back & I will choose a room with a balcony next time! If you want to be right in the heart of all the action, look no further! Hotel St. Marie is a half block from Bourbon Street. We got a street side balcony and got to sit out and watch the carriages go by, watch the nightlife on Bourbon Street, and enjoy the view of historic French Quarter. There’s a small pool in the courtyard, an on site bar and cafe, and a restaurant that’s been closed since Covid started. I guess they have limited hours where you can order from the bar area but every time we wanted to order it was closed. I really did want to try the food there but it just didn’t happen. It’s close enough to everything for you to walk. We walked to Jackson Square, up and down Bourbon Street a few times and around a few blocks, we even walked to the Creole Queen on the Mississippi. I wish there was a microwave in the room. I also wish the sink was separate from the bathroom area so that people could use the sink while someone else uses the bathroom. We got a two queen room and the bathroom was super tiny. The lighting was sparse, too. All that said, I would stay here again in a heartbeat! It’s affordable too!
