Really enjoy visiting the nursery. Great selection and a friendly staff. Very competative prices. I only wish they would stay open until 8pm once or twice a week. Always a pleasant experience. The general store is also great...the employees there are super friendly, too.

My first visit to this store and I love it! Great gift shop and amazingly cared for plants. Can't wait until it warms up to go stock my gardens.

House by the Side of the Road always has a choice of local Christmas trees. We prefer locally grown (NH) Balsam. They also have locally grown and constructed wreaths and roping. They consistently have these local products every year. They go to extra measures to be sure you are happy with your Christmas tree. This year I bought a large tree that was a little too big. They trimmed it down exactly has I needed and was sure it was safely secured in our vehicle. They want to be sure you are happy. If you get the winter blues, go to HBTSOTR; their hot house will make you smile in the dark winter months.

Absolutely love this place,the staff are polite and helpful, been wanting to go there for years I am so glad I finally did.

Best nursery around with knowledgeable staff and an excellent selection of specimens. Also have other services like soil and firewood delivery.
