I went all my way from Panama to visit this place and was lucky enough to attend the exhibit In My Room, Saul Leiter. The place is outstanding, well lit and the personnel was really helpful. There was a list of available books and prices, which is very helpful and every gallery in the world should copy. This is a top quality spot! Must visit!
Small, but wonderful collection of photos. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Almost all of the photos displayed are for sale and the gallery has others which they will pull for you to see. We were sorry to have missed the Vivian Maier exhibit, but when we inquired about her work, the staff produced 20 prints for us to look at. The exhibit is free; expect to spend an hour or two. One issue: the building was difficult to find. It is next to a Coach store which is on the corner and has an art deco entrance that is recessed a bit, embossed with the number 41. You will need to take an elevator to the 14th floor.
Awesome collection of books and great gallery
Beautiful space. Make sure to enter the building to the 14th floor. Lots of photo books, and currently looking at the William Klein and Brooklyn exhibit!
Free art gallery meaning the work is for sale. But still museum caliber exhibitions. I've seen several interesting photography shows.
