I purchased a 3 speed tranny with a shift kit, from hughes, and was very displeased. The tranny leaked fluid immediatley. Also the tranny made a lound "clunk" when shifting from park to drive. The tranny did NOT shoft well either. How could a rebuilt $1800.00 tranny be in such poor condition?

Run the big Hughes glide in a 1200 RWHP 3200 pound car. It has been flawless after one year. Low 5's in the 1/8th mile, low 8's in the quarter with 1.2 60 foot times. Never a bit of trouble. 
edit: Now 2-1/2 years and not so much as an adjustment required. Nothing but occasional fluid changes.

They wouldn't even warranty a tranny for a street Hot Rod cause it was over 450 hp, that says it all for the trannys they build
