I’ve used this veterinary service for my cats for more than ten years. I now have a Dachshund Dog, Dixie Rose. We live in Virginia, Dixie needed dental extractions, I drove to NYC Humane Society!! We received outstanding care, my baby is doing fine. She’s not speaking to me but she’s much better for the dental care. The Doctor that took care of Dixie was Phenomenal! On the ride home, we stopped, she was being held by my daughter. Thank you for the wonderful care.
best vets in the city. kind, caring, very affordable. runs around 35$ a visit book in advance they administer all pet vaccines and also provide dental cleaning for pets at almost half the rate then any vet in nyc. i’m a loyal client since my dog Diesel was a pup , 10 yrs now.
They took real good care of my cat. They are finally allowing at least one person to be in waiting area. They are renovating so don't be fooled they take care of your fur babies. I am so thankful for them. They are the best. Took care of my fur baby.
If you want excellent, informed, and accurate care for your dog or cat, this is NOT the place to go for vet care, especially if your dog is a senior. The exams are subpar, the notes are insufficient, and the communication skills are lacking on a good day. Clients have not been allowed in the building during exams because of the pandemic and that has not changed. Vets call clients days or weeks later with scrambled notes and cannot retain even the most basic information about your dog even though they have the charts in front of them. Exams, in my opinion, are incomplete. Needed biopsies are put off or requests by pet parents are ignored altogether. While they may be a lower-cost option for pet parents who only want routine care, such as vaccinations, I would stay away from this place for anything more complex. If your dog or cat has a serious disease, they will not catch it in time to make a difference. They have shown me after being a client for 5 years that my dog means nothing; she suffered for weeks under their "care". It is only after I switched to a different vet that I got more thorough and holistic and proper care for my dog. I trusted the Humane Society when I shouldn't have. Please, do your dog a favor and go to a place where vets care and want to work directly with pet parents to achieve the best outcomes. To make communication matters that much worse, nobody answered the telephone there, ever. No questions answered. No prescription refills. No advice. Nothing. Do yourself and your dog a favor and get a vet who cares because my Humane Society vet cost me time with my dog because she dismissed her cancer for several months despite my close attention and requests for biopsy.
I dont even know where to begin to express my gratitude to the wonderful doctors and staff here! I showed up on Tuesday frantic with a sick and dying dog. Every place I called and went to wanted 8,500.00 to operate on my dog, which I did not have. These people , after hearing my story took my Gigi in and brought her back to life. Thank you Dr, G for the twice a day updates...you are a very special and caring person! Dr Harris and whoever else operated on Gigi, thank you so much! I saw first hand how hard these dedicated people work..including the guy in the front with the great face masks... After five days of all of your care, my pup is on the mend! This could and would have had a horrific outcome if not for all of you! Please if you can, donate to this wonderful society! Forever in your debt, Angela, Gigi's grammma}
I just called to find out what they are doing to improve their adoption process and adoption was all the way down to option 8 and I left a message. They must not be doing enough, or people wouldn’t have to be protesting for same!! If they just want to run a vet clinic, they should move their adoptees somewhere else!!! Thank you very much.
I live a few blocks away from the Humane Society. I submitted an application to adopt a cat and did not hear back. A couple of weeks later, I went in person with application in hand and asked to see the cats available for adoption. The security guard refused to allow me into the building, but he took my application. Once again, I did not hear back. Why does this place have you fill out an eight page adoption application if they’re not going to respond? Something shady is happening behind the heavily guarded door. I’m done with this place.
They’re always packed with people, and make having a pet affordable in the city! Thank you for your services and taking great care of our fur baby! I wished that something like this would be better funded so they can offer more support to the community.
Wish Google would make zero stars an option. This place needs to be closed down if it’s not going to allow animals to be adopted out. I thought that was the soul purpose of Animal Humane Societies. I will pray for the animals involved and hope karma comes for those keeping them there. Shows how much they care about animals, would never recommend anyone use them for veterinarian services.
This was one of the most caring clinics before 2020. After the shutdown it has become an uncaring place. I can't say it is one of the worst..because all clinics and hospitals are behaving this way all at once now. I know it's because all board members have signed up with the New World Order, and many more animals need to die so by the time the children are grown there won't be much animal's left or any, and robot dogs and cats can become normalized. The good news is that the wicked will be punished in the end.
