Tried their wild boar pasta. Had a lot of expectations but was underwhelmed. The pasta felt fresh and soft but the sauce felt very bland. I thought they forgot to add salt into the wild boar sauce. It did not have that Italian kick to it.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
This was my first visit to I’m Eddie Cano. Atmosphere was pleasing and friendly however the food left much to be desired. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which came with no pasta accompanying it. The portion was small and the eggplant was over cooked, under flavored and fiberous. I’ve had better sauce come from a canned supermarket jar. My wife had the ravioli carbonara. This too was poor in quality. The pasta was undercooked far more firm than al dente and the filling was dry, chewy and with little taste, and the sauce was no way a carbonara sauce, not even a hint. When the manager noticed our conversation about the food, he came over and asked if everything was ok. I was honest about out disappointing experienced and he offered a free desert to accommodate us. I figured if the food was this unpleasant, the dessert would probably be no better. I will not be returning to this establishment.
Just happened to find a killer parking space and decided to eat in the neighborhood. Oh joy. The octopus was perfectly cooked, nicely plated and super hot. I was on the fence about a main course and am grateful I chose the steak also perfectly prepared and atop a smear of gorgonzola cream. Interesting that you're supposed to say I'm Eddie Cano fast and they wear bowling shirts ..
Had take out urge and the order of pasta bolognese and chicken parm was delivered on time on a Saturday night. The chicken parm was disappointing as it undercooked and very chewy. Luckily I can cook it a bit more in the microwave. Bolongnese was fine, nice flavorful sauce.
One comes here for the Italian dishes. There is a list of American dishes but that is another story. No reservations needed or offered. While the Italian offerings are classic dishes, these are served with a unique flare with subtle, creative flavorings. You will also find the good service to be Italian. A shout-out to Alessandro. The environment is contemporary with family style seating. We were there on a Wednesday evening and it was reasonably busy for this quiet neighborhood. Depending on your appetite, you may find the portions small for the price. There are dishes for two offered. However, given the family style seating, I would recommend a few family portioned offerings for sharing.
Won’t return. Customer service was horrible. Felt rushed to order take out by the aggressive hostess. Ordered wine while I waited. The bartender asked if I enjoyed it. When I replied “not really” I thought he’d ask why or try to remedy it. He didn’t. He barely waited for me to finish my sentence.
Our family had a great time and we loved our overall experience here. Food was excellent, drinks, service, everything was flawless. Will definitely come back.
Having recently returned from Italy, I’m Eddie Cano was a pleasant way to refresh our memory of our trip. The food was tasty and portions were just right for trying an antipasto, 1st or 2nd course and desert. I found the prices comparable to other district restaurants we have tried. The grilled calamari especially reminded me of a fish dish we had on Burano. The bar stocks quite a few amaros which added another note of Italian dining.
solid, portion size was a little lacking for the price but maybe that adds to the authenticity of being italian
Quality ingredients and good service. It's a great neighborhood addition. You can tell it's fresh, but my food was bland.
