I was so super excited to try this place as I heard so many good things about the wings. I was NOT disappointed by the wings at all, but the place itself and the horrible service I received was a huge disappointment! I initially intended to dine in. Once I walked in and saw how cramped the space was I had second thoughts. Nevertheless, I sat and looked at the menu. I was seated under the stairs and the smell of bleach was so overwhelming, we decided ultimately that we’ll do carry out instead. The server was nice, but a woman behind the bar started to harass us once she learned that we were no longer dining in. She literally told us to leave and wait outside while the server had my credit card. Like what I’m the hell! Absolutely NOT!!! Despite her unnecessary aggressiveness, we sat and waited for both my card and my wings. I would probably do carry out again simply because the wings were good. But I would never plan to sit in this place.
This was my first experience at iBar. I wanted to try the wings. I got the honey old bay wings and 2 chicken tenders. The wings were huge which I love. I know some people don't like huge wings so keep that in mind. They were fried a little too hard but manageable. The chicken tender were huge and juicy. Joseph was our server and he was very good, gave honest feedback about menu items, and was attentive.
My friends weren’t exaggerating when they said I’d have some of the best wings in my life. Not only were the old bay wings good, but the mozzarella sticks were as well. My only complaint would be the staff seems to forget about the customers dining at the tables away from the bar. I would still return though!
Many of us who spend time in Baltimore have long familiarity with this locally known restaurant with a sports bar vibe. On a recent Friday night, my friend and I enjoyed classic whole wings, friend cheese sticks, a pitcher of IPA, and other food goodies while watching the US Open semi finals match. Upstairs was full at our late dinner time arrival but the downstairs section had a few tables open for choosing. Naturally we made to face one of the large screens to choose our favorite sports for the night. The Baltimore Orioles were featured but other options were available. Our beer arrived cold; the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all good as expected from previous times there. Security is on site; many customers or regulars. Street parking was easy that night directly by the entrance. Go check it out!
At first getting service was a bit tricky. Didn't appear they had wait staff. We were eventually told after finding the staff on our own to sit at the bar for service. Once seated at the bar we were promptly served. The cocktails were my favorite... although slightly overpriced at about $18.00. The food was average bar food to me. Nothing spectacular but palatable. I'd be back if I lived in the area convenience but I won't be going out of my way to return.
I've never eaten inside but it's always crowded. The food is SOOOOOOO GOOD! This is one of those places where the leftovers are better the next day! This is the shrimp po'boy
This place was highly recommended to me for their wings. Many claim they have the best wings in Baltimore. The wings did not disappoint. They were crispy and overall had great taste. I will definitely come back when I get the chance.
I've been meaning to try this place for years. I finally made the trek, 3 mile scooter ride. Every callous was worth it and my lips are thankful, even if they are on fire. The wings coated in a heavy dose of parmesan and garlic are one of the most delicious foods I've unabashedly shoved into my face ever. Go for the wings, stay for the burn.
One of the Best neighborhood hang-outs in B-town. The food is excellent. You haven't had real buffalo wings unless you are from Buffalo, NY, or you stopped by this place. The entire menu is well thought out and the drinks are top rate. I'm an older big man and food is my weakness. I do not give praise unless it is deserved. This quirky little place deserves it. Don't take my word for it, decide for yourself. Excuse me waiter, may I have another order of.........everything. Oh yeah.
The wings were AMAZING. I got hot & my friend got mango habanero and we both got fries. The wings were good sizes and cooked perfectly. The food was quick & fresh which was great considering we arrived after midnight and dined in. We will definitely be back
