Excellent service and very good food. We had dinner here on Tuesday evening based on the Google reviews. We had an excellent waiter and it’s a really cool location. They have several dining rooms and even an amusement park of some sort in the back. I thought the food was very good. The steak was cooked correctly and the rice/chips were interesting. My buddy said the short ribs were on point.
EXCELLENT experience! It was super crowded which is a sign it's pretty popular but definitely concerning during pandemic. Our surver was so sweet and attentive. The food was fresh and really tasty. Portions were huge as we got the Seafood for two. I recommend splitting the seafood for 2 I would certainly go back because of the service and food. Nice spot!
A memorable Portuguese culinary experience in every detail. The restaurant has ample parking and the locale is clean and nicely decorated. They have an assorted and well priced menu that offer something special for everyone. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and multilingual Portuguese, Spanish, English. They are particularly well know for their Paella and Sangria. Whether it’s a dinner for two or a group of 12 or more, the service will be equally exceptional.
Not exactly my type of restaurant in terms of the vive and the decor but the food is good. I was there with some friends, I ordered the seafood combination and man, don’t be fool about the size, the plate was huge, four people could easily eat it. Four starts because of the price/amount relationship and because of the staff, very friendly. The calamari was overcooked though :
Loved this place!! This was a spontaneous and ohhh so delightful treat. We chose to celebrate a special bday dinner here after traveling nearly all of Ferry street. The aroma with draw you in from the street. Outdoor seating was truly lovely. A great ambiance at sunset. The service is definitely not short in any area. My waiter was very sweet & there for any needs. I thought it was cute that a chair was taken over as we were seated for my “pocketbook”. Prices were unexpectedly reasonable for the date Live Spanish toned entertainment covering the classic hits of the past. And the Portuguese/Spanish style food was outstanding-We had leftovers the day after!! Good for family, small parties and especially date-night. We will Definitely be back.
OH EM GEE! Had the grilled octopus, so much food and the garden salad was also delicious! The flounder stuffed with seafood my Esposito ordered was amazing, will have that next time!
Had the seafood for 2 and was very disappointed. The presentation of the plate was a mess. Appeared as if they just dumped whatever seafood was laying around in the kitchen on a platter. The calamari looked like onion rings and was hard and rubbery. The photo on the right is from another restaurant in the same area. Do you see the difference?
Visited this restaurant during a trip to Newark, and it went to my list of recommended places when traveling. Great food and big portions, friendly staff, wonderful ambiance, great for families or for a date. Really enjoyed our time there.
My daughter and son in law chose this restaurant to celebrate and enjoy my birthday dinner. Upon entering the parking lot allocated for the facility, we were approached and asked to pay $10.00 per vehicle and handed a parking slip. The attendant explained that we would be reimbursed inside of the restaurant. I assumed this was to ensure we actually patronized the restaurant, since other establishments were on the area as well. When we entered and asked for a table for eight my daughter contacted the restaurant in advance, and they didn’t require reservations we were seated. My son later informed me he observed the workers s debating over whether to seat us in an area that had ample room or not. I let that pass. We ordered drinks no drink menu.. no prices so they charged us whatever they wanted to. I let that pass. The food was extremely overpriced, bland and the wait service was horrible. Four of my family members ordered entrees that required individual sides per order. They tried to make them share two sides between the four of them. When the correct amount of sides were requested, the wait staff completed the request, and gathered together to talk about my family and jest. What they didn’t know was that we understood them! When finished dining, we requested a check as usual. The bill was $488.40 not bad, but again the wait staff gathered and stared at us to get our reaction to the amount of the bill! Totally unacceptable! I had to request that they stop staring and continue with their duties. We were not offered a desert menu, and we didn’t need one. We clearly understood we were not welcome there. As an African American multi racial family.. we were deeply disappointed, and very offended. My seventeen year old daughter said “ Mom, that is the first time I experienced prejudice.” It broke my heart. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The experience was one I pray my family soon forgets.
Great dinner and a very fair price! The paella was fantastic and the service was perfect! The sangria was great! Would go there again and again if I lived in the area.Dine in: Yes
