Ideal Child Development Center II

I had my daughter here from the time she was 1 to 2 years old after having a nanny share. We only left the center because we were re-locating to the west coast. It was like leaving family - the teachers gave Naya beautiful personalized gifts to remember them by. The teachers always treated Naya as a daughter. They are loving and caring, and the Director of the Center is absolutely lovely - she seeks feedback and will make the changes parents seek. In just the year I was there they added more meatless meals to accommodate parents' preferences, in particular a vegan family. They also made the milk organic. The Center is right next to the Petworth metro station. While it may not look fancy, the director and teachers are committed professionals. Most of the teachers have been with the center a very long time - a good sign to me that they were treated well and happy there. I also love that it is not a corporate-type of place, which means they will work with you and your family for your individual needs. They aren't unreasonably strict or rule-based. For example, if you miss breakfast because you arrive late, but your little one is hungry, the teachers are feeding them. I also found the price to be lower than market given that they provide diapers and meals.
