This is the worst furniture buying experience I have EVER HAD. Do NOT go here if you plan on making a return. And good luck to your sanity if IKEA has made a mistake with your purchase. I am now seeking vengeance by putting this nightmare of a tale out into the world.
It all started so simply. I purchased a dresser in store. Easy enough, right? I loaded box 1 and box 2 onto my cart, with the help of an employee, and then I checked out and brought both boxes all the way home.
I assembled box 1 - the main part of the dresser. It was now time to put assemble box 2 with the drawers. WELL, it turns out box 2 was for a completely different MALM piece. The store loaded this box in the wrong place and neither one of the employees (in the back or at checkout) caught this mistake when I was purchasing.
So, I had to go all the way back to the store with the wrong box. At first, the employee at returns was telling me there was nothing she could do, and I would have to bring back the other box for a full refund. So, I asked if I could get the correct second box so I could at least have a full dresser. Then, I was told they did not have this dresser in stock. I was beside myself at this point. It wasn't until the manager stepped in that she told me they could ship me the right second box the next week.
Well, it has been three weeks, and I STILL have not gotten the correct box shipped to me. I was told I would get an email shipping confirmation when it was shipped out...I haven't gotten a single email from them.
Now, you are probably asking, why don't I just call them to see when they are shipping it? I have tried to get through multiple times via phone, but this is a nearly impossible task unless you have 5 hours to kill and wait by the phone.
It looks like my only options now are to either 1) disassemble the built dresser and go ALL THE WAY back to IKEA for a THIRD TIME to return the piece 2) go ALL THE WAY back to IKEA for a THIRD TIME to see when (if ever) they will ship out the correct second box 3) throw the assembled dresser into the East River and slander the IKEA Brooklyn name until my last breath.
At this point, Option 3 will be the easiest.

Low stars for checkout process. Could not be more painful. I'd rather be at the DMV than checkout here. If you have go to the furniture pick up after you checkout, bring a sack lunch and some electrolytes, you will be there even longer.
I've never had to return anything, but that area looks like the waiting room in a federal prison. I've never seen that many depressed people in one area before.
While their prices and selection are pretty good, it's clear that's what you're here for. Service is lacking.

I love this place because mostly of the food. They have a large variety of food including kids meal. There is also an indoor and outdoor parking. This place is also wheelchair accessible because of the scattered elevators that are in IKEA. The seating for the IKEA restaurant is nice and some seating offer an outdoor view. When you are shopping, there are a large variety of beds, closets, drawers, plants, and many more. Also, there are many decorations and examples of rooms that show the square foot of the room and shows how IKEA put their furniture. Good example if you're looking for ideas. There is a returning deal where if you aren't satisfied with your product, then you can return the product within a 30 day limit (some products don't have this limit). Here is a picture I took from one of the rooms that contained a large window:

My family and I went to look for a bed there and was amazed with the display room and the furniture. We decided to grsb a bite to eat and the food was excellent. The cafeteria was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty as well as Manhattan. Overall we had a great time in IKEA. Who would of known that you can have fun in a store.

Great selection of home furnishing products. I came when they had the eat free program where you can deduct your food purchase if you spend $100 and more before tax. This is always a good deal and makes me spend even more. Restaurant was a bit crowded due to the free eats and line was slow but overall food was affordable and tasty. They don't have the ribs anymore which is a loss since they tasted so yummy. My kids had fun running around the large store.
