Loved this! It’s not just for kids. So creative, entertaining, and funny. GO!
This is a great theater! I was with a company that performed there for three weekends. We really enjoyed the space. It was a really great stage with great sounds and lights. It seats just shy of 200 and the seats come right down to the stage making for intimate environment with lots of energy. We also used the ballroom upstairs which is a great space for events! We are definitely headed back there in the future. Highly recommend.
One of the lesser known Theater locations, but a wide range of productions that are better than most. Have seen TBA work here over the years as well as work by other companies. The newish seats were a great improvement over what they had several years ago. Parking can be a challenge as the only dirt lot next to them is now Valet Parking for Jupiter Hotel, so finding a place on the streets can be tough.
A beautiful theater in the middle of downtown Portland. Theater seats under 200, neighborhood street parking only. No main curtain, but the stage and wings are great. They will also paint the stage whatever color you want for your production which I haven't seen at any other theater. We used the basement as our greenroom. There's a ballroom upstairs with a second, smaller stage where they sometimes hold Salsa classes. The lobby is pretty skinny and there is only one set of bathrooms for audience and cast members, but overall it's a wonderful space.
This is a fantastic spot to checkout live theater in SE PDX! There is an old-fashioned ballroom on the top floor that was once-upon-a-time a salsa dancing club! The space is now available for private function rentals & still is a fantastic space!
Wonderful fun and creative family friendly theater atmosphere. Enjoyed the skilled performers and top rate costumes as well as effects. A magical experience of theater for the young ones. We saw Zoozoo.
Fantastic show for the kids.
Started our new year seeing highly rated Frogz! SORRY!!! THIS was the worst, I repeat, WORST children’s theatre ever! Beginning with the highly sketchy neighborhood, then the insipid boring opening scene where one frog summarizes the boredom to come for the rest of the evening by being disciplined by two motionless frogs and finally on the the worst racist scene ever where an Asian baby is tormented by child abusing yarn balls kicking him with African American sneakers. We ran from the theatre with our bored 4 year old while other children in the audience called out for the other lifeless performers to kill each other. In summary a total waste of money only proving there is a sucker born every minute!
Had to sit in a mask the whole time.
The play was good, but the facility was cold & the seating uncomfortable. Probably won't go there again no matter how good the acting performance is.
