Instead of up selling me on a part I didn’t need. They just did a minor repair which saved me a ton of money!.
I am surprised to see the negative reviews below. My entire family wife, mom/dad, sister/brother-in-law uses Indian River Service Center. We have since they opened several years ago. I have found Andy to be one of the most honest auto-repair service managers with whom I have done business. I see Andy and the team roughly eight times a year oil changes for two cars and inspections. He has been very honest about required maintenance. Sometimes, the computer model will tell him something needs to be serviced, but he has told me to hold off on getting certain things done. I have NEVER had a manager tell me to hold off on maintenance. They always seem to be about getting money from you. Andy and team have not fit this mold. I have recommended Indian River Service Center to family, friends and co-workers. I have never received negative feedback from any of them. In fact, they are all now regular customers.
This place has went down hill. Ever since their general manager “Andy” left, service has gotten bad. They over charge for parts and labor. I brought a car in for a power steering leak and the said they fixed it. A month later it was leaking again. Brought it back and they said another part needed to be changed. I asked them why they didn’t change it in the first place and all I got was the runaround.Pretty much she told me they change the easiest thing first. I would stay away from this place it has really gotten bad. Are used to bring all my cars up there but never again. Stay away!
Had my fuel pump die on my pickup today, had it towed for an assessment. Indian River Service Center quoted me $1135. I realize that they have to drop the tank on this model, but come on! Had it towed across town to my friend, Scott Fenton, at Boon's Car Saloon, where his assistant worked up a quote that was $400. less expensive. So, I told the folks that at Indian River that I'd stop by to settle my bill. $108. just for LOOKING at the car, NO computer diagnostics. They called me, wouldn't release the truck until I settled the bill. Told him that I've been coming there for years, couldn't I be trusted to show up to settle? They insisted on immediate payment. I also told him how I REALLY felt. I told him that I believe in profit, it's the American way, but when someone else can make a profit on the same job for $400. less, I feel like they tried to rape me without using lubrication. I only go to Indian River as a matter of convenience. This may be my final visit there. They've lost me as a customer, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. It seems that after 10 years of bringing my cars there, money is truly more important to them than a long-term customer relationship.
I went here because my window wouldn't roll up in my Mitsubishi. They diagnosed my window motor as faulty and requested 100 dollars for the diagnostic on top of an absorbent about of money for the fix. Long story short I went somewhere else and for 50 dollars they put my door and window back together and there was NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. It just jammed. But I was still out 100$ for nothing. Cooks or just dumb workers here
Put 3 deep scratches into the door of my vehicle. These are not door dings, nor something that was there before. The manager Andy denied any liability, refused to do anything about the scratches and basically told me tough luck. I paid $56 for 4 x $1.99 light bulbs and got a free $100 damage to my door - will never do business with again.
I've been bringing all my vehicles here years. The staff is very professional and most importantly honest. They have never tried to upsell me on something I don't need. Their prices are more than fair and I will continue to use them for as long as I'm driving.
Efficient, friendly ! Not only Having free coffee but snacks and soda! Hospitality is a huge thumbs up: Take credit to Andy Little manager and Mercury Starcruiser and their crew! Keep Mercury as the front person, with his personality captured the heart of the customers. This is my first time...happy with their service.
Just had some work done on my Mercury. They had a cheaper price than the dealership. They were way faster and seemed to know better what was wrong with it than the dealership guys. I have a new place to take my car. Thanks Andy!
It is actually -5 star. I always very good took care of my car. My car always passed inspection without any reason. I just replaced timing belt about 20K ago and they said that it needs to be replaced. Oh my God. They gave me $1800 estimate also . These guys are funny. They need to go mental hospital.
