The place is visibly good. Indian theme based, and bollywood inserts here and there.. Coming to food, The parathas tasted good, samosas not so much.. I was there to grab a quick bite. Service is good, you can visit during the day if avoiding rush.Recommended dishesPaneer Pakora, Aloo Paratha, Paratha
We had the Mango Masala and Chicken Tiki Masala meals, with a few pieces of the Plain Roti and Samosas. I thought it was pretty standard food, when I compare it to the Indian restaurants in Los Angeles. I especially enjoyed the roti, since it was warm and fresh. It's difficult for me to enjoy restaurants that aren't doing their part to take care of the environment. Everything is served in disposable containers, to include plastic cups, forks, spoons and knives. A big turn off for me. Street parking in the area. It's all outdoor seating in the patio area, but they have plenty of space heaters.
Awesome Hidden Jewel in DC Metro Area. Simple, No Frill Indian Desi Restaurants. Home Cooked Food, Desi Dhaba Feel ambient. Owner and Michelin Star Chef always available to Suggest you the Food and Drink Options. We had a Awesome time talking to Chef and Owner about their Journey and Food was JUST YUM YUM YUM!!! Highly Highly recommended.
I think this has got to be my favorite restaurant. I loved the lamb - both the lamb curry and indi roll. The spicy masala chicken was the bomb. I had the mango lasso for dessert which was also awesome. Only wish the soft drinks were bottomless. Definitely recommend. Oh, and the owner or maybe manager? was very nice. Thanks for a great overall experience.
This is a great find among Indian restaurants in DC. They mostly have covered outdoor sitting and the ambiance is amazing during night. Plenty of street parking nearby and also within waking distance of NoMa-Gallaudet and Washington Union metro stations. Now the food is amazingly delicious. Although for some dishes, the spice level can be above average for non-indian people, but its totally worth it for the whole taste. Each main dish comes with complimentary chickpeas rice. Furthermore there's a bar alongside the restaurant which is a plus. So enjoy your food and drinks with cool Indian music and don't forget to clean up the table after yourself. Peace
Great little restaurant to get lunch or dinner. Love the outdoor seating. No waiters service. You order at counter they will bring it to you. Everything in disposable containers. Please try goat and aloo paratha. Hard to find parking on busy day.
Somehow I always forget to post a review, but this is my go to place in DC when I want to impress my out of town friends with flavor and ambiance. I love the string lights outside, the mango lassi is the best in the area, and the samosas are a meal in themselves that I keep going back for at least on a weekly basis.
Great food and great drinks and a cool atmosphere! It is all outdoor seating but in a covered area. The bathrooms are a bit dirty and it can get cramped; other than that, everything is perfect here. Definitely check it out!
A decent place to relish Indian cuisine. Good Management, order using online link. American level spicy food with wide variety of North Indian food. #indiancuisine #foodinDC #foodnearme #indigo
Great food, great vibe and crowd. Owners have taken utmost care of the restaurant and the menu. Must recommended if you’re in DC area.
