My room was spacious, the beds were clean and new, and the bathroom was well-maintained. Carpet was a bit old and the wallpaper was dated but I was happy with my stay. There is no A/C and only a small part of the window opens, though - between the two the room can get warm. Not unbearably so, but I did wish for a fan. Was pleasantly surprised to have a fridge and microwave in the room.
Old hotel with dated rooms. Bed was decent ... the linen was good. Washroom is old and dated. Tube TV in the room ... over 20 years old!!! Carpet is old. No thrills. Airport shuttle is convenient. Gym has a water machine. Decent size. Free breakfast was EXCELLENT. The breakfast burrito was amazing. Loved it. Freshly made. Staff was very accommodating. Good service. I would stay here again since the price seems right compared to other hotels. It's a place to sleep and have a great breakfast burrito.
The people were amazing, from the front desk to the shuttle driver to the breakfast people. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito, though my friend's croissant sandwich was your basic out of the freezer deal. But still, free hot breakfast! The room also had kitchenette, which was nice. Yes, the hotel is dated, but it was still clean and the people were friendly. It was an easy walk to the downtown area.
One star rating is generous. The heater would not shut off and the air conditioner did not work. I had the window and the refrigerator door open to try and cool the room down and I was still sweating and it was 37degrees outside. I was on the top floor and it sounded like someone was using a rolling pin on the ceiling all night. There where dirty tissues on the floor by the bed stand and the bathroom was not cleaned. I called to switch rooms and they could not accommodate my request nor could they fix my room temperature, or stop the noise coming from the ceiling. Worst lodging experience I have ever encountered. I was to stay there 4 nights. After they were unable to accommodate me with a different room I called back down to let them know I would be checking out in the morning. They still billed me for 4 nights.
Worst room I have ever had! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The staff was nice and they did have a pretty decent breakfast. Also the beds were clean and decent but We paid over 230 dollars for a terribly old room with carpet so old that I could not sleep because of the moldy smell. It took forever for the small window unit to cool the room down and there was no screen on the window so we had to risk the bugs just to be able to breathe..The bathroom was incredibly small and just disgusting. The owners should be ashamed. I mean my gosh! I will never stay there again. Ever.
Ended up having to book a room here for the night as my family and I weren't able to fly out. The hotel sent a shuttle a red van to come get us at the airport; the shuttle driver male was very kind. Upon arrival, we noticed that the hotel was very old. The exterior was very cute though, and they even have an outdoor dining area lit up by hanging lights that is open later in the day where you can eat in a igloo or bubble thingy. The room itself wasn't bad, just older compared to some other places I've stayed. The view on the 12th floor room that we were placed in was absolutely gorgeous!! Breakfast by far was a surprise though; originally as they said "grab-and-go," I was expecting fruits, yogurt, and other easy or cold foods. We actually were given a choice of 3 different meals and had 4 vouchers that they gave us to pay for them. We ended up choosing their breakfast burrito, and it was about the size of 2-3 McDonald's burritos put together and was quite good—a drink and yogurt were also included. During our stay, which was for one night, the toilet seat did seem to have some issue. We overheard another patron also have the same issue, what are the odds. Nonetheless, as it was close to the airport and both shuttle drivers male and female were very kind and friendly, I would recommend staying here.
11/2022 downgrade to 1 star. For the building's age it is in pretty good shape. The downgrade is for mold in the shower stall. Also heaters in my room are on constantly, even in the off position, two of them! Waking up to 90° in the morning is not fun! AC unit nonfunctional. My second party had a room with an opposite problem, too cold, nonfunctional heaters! They asked the desk to change rooms... The reply was, "if you are still cold we can send up a blanket." The front desk needs some training in guest services! We will never stay here again! Even at the $97 winter rate it is not worth it!
While the lobby looks fine, the rooms are like visiting a greasy cousin of motel 6. The rooms were not well cleaned, dried splatters of something on the walls, bathroom towel rack was coming out of the wall and looked like a poor attempt to repair it was made with plywood. We drove 300 miles, checked in late at night, we were tired and there was nobody at the front desk to complain to, so I cleaned up as much as I could, wiping surfaces and walls, finding hairs in the bathroom, and we refused to go barefoot because even though the carpets were dark there was multiplestains. We left early for an appointment and did not return until late again, only to find our room was never cleaned, trash was never taken out, bed was not touched. There was already someone arguing with customer service when we checked out, not wanted to add to this poor girls day, we left and thought a rating would be better.
Really lovely staff and shuttle driver - 10 stars for them. There did seem to be a handful of odd people staying there that we observed which impacted my perception on the place not staff that I’d encountered in the short span of time we stayed there. Topped off after sharing my wiggy feeling to my offsider who reported they’d just experienced an uncomfortable exchange in the lift, we decided to move hotels to one in central town so we could walk to attractions we wanted to check out easily. Overall, nice staff, comfortable rooms but just not for us on this occasion.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, food is good too Cons: Had strangers try to come into my room multiple times and not just an oops sorry wrong room, had a hard time with room phone and couldn’t leave my room because I was scared of the guys that kept trying to come in they were hanging out in the halls, informed the front desk next morning and was told could of been drunk people, scary no less, especially that I’m alone! Thought of calling the cops, but didn’t want to cause problems. Could smell weed and cigarettes from room next to mine and this is a non smoking area making me feel ill and something else I can’t really describe just funky and loud people. Tub is high because it is also a jacuzzi and I tripped trying to get out hurting my leg minor, but still stinks. Being outdated doesn’t brother me but the smell did and especially the safety of people trying to come into my room.
