Given the circumstances and not being able to go on our cruise from testing positive for Covid, the folks here were wonderful. The rooms were efficiencies and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and they had good internet and cable services. We opted in for the meal program and were delivered a variety of food for all three meals. The young men at the reception area were very nice and had great a great sense of humor. They brought us fresh towels every day and any of the items we were running low on. For five days, they were our lifeline. Perfect scenario? Of course not but they provided a comfortable setting to make our quarantine stay the best possible situation we could have hoped for. THANK YOU!
This is a Covid hotel for covid positive people and their close contacts coming off cruise ships. Sad to say...it's very full. We've been very happy with the staff and medical team. The building is old and there is no A/C. At least they gave us a fan.Rooms: 2/5
A good place to wait out Omicron quarantine at no expense to me before returning to work in an Arctic oilfield on the North Slope. Staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. I preferred my stay at the Captain Cook many years ago, but that was costly for me and my wife.
I had 2 separate reservations for our vacation trip late July, along with 2 other families, so total of 6 rooms/nights. All reservations were made many weeks ago and all these reservations were cancelled today without any explanation given. This is outrageous. Stay away or be prepared for sudden change of plans. Not giving any reason means that they probably found new customers willing to pay more for the same room, otherwise why wouldn't they explain what happened?
My friend and I stayed for two nights at the end of September and we loved it! Ronnie front desk was so helpful and fun. We loved the welcome reception/happy hour. The location was great and the rooms were large and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Anchorage.Rooms: 5/5
Front desk personnel was so friendly, the spacious rooms are very nice. Gym, pool etc. are all at the sister hotel across the street, but it's not a deal breaker. Parking is free st the meters 6 p.m. to 9 a.m., or you can m park in the lit across Tyne street for $15. Breakfast is included and was very good as well... and I loved the pancake machine. I'll book again.
The price was really good for what you get, they were very nice and It was clean. Only reason they don’t get a 5 is parking and no area for the dog to go to the bathroom. Parking wasn’t free and I didn’t feel the most Comfortable with the neighborhood it was parked in. It was A long walk to find grass for dogs. They have a hot tub and sauna but because of covid we couldn’t enjoy. I would stay here again. It was better than another hotel we stayed in anchorage that was twice the price.
We were under Covid quarantine. The room was nicer than we had expected and the service was first class.Rooms: 5/5
The location is the best part of this hotel. You are truly within walking distance of Anchorage's most popular restaurants and bars, and you are minutes drive away from highways and from grocery stores/etc. Only 10 minutes away from the airport. I had a room on the 4th floor which had an amazing view of the ocean. the staff is great and wonderful customer service. A pretty good breakfast available in the mornings in the lobby pancakes, muffins, yogurt, coffee. I did not love that anyone could walk into this hotel and get on the elevator, but Anchorage is a pretty safe place. Also the exterior of the hotel needs desperate updating, but the rooms themselves were comfortable, cozy, and great.
Nice place tto stay with little kitchenette. Rooms are very clean and cleaning staff really friendly. Front desk needs to take lessons on be friendly. Parking is $15.00 a day through the hotel across the street IF you tell before you park. They tell you after the fact. We paid $25 a day and they did not offer to pay back the difference. Ugg
