My friend had a relapse. The program gave him a second chance. Now he is on his way to recovery. Thanks to the staff always so friendly and understanding. I thank you for your fine services.
My experience at Stevenson house was really bad unfortunately my client had passed away because of their neglect and elderly abuse she had fallen down a flight of stairs I had repeated me take them to move her to a unit on a lower level they know she couldn't walk because she needed a surgery on her hip was sent to valley medical hospital she had to go back because the screw came loose I thought that was real bad she was paying and suffering but yet they neglected to help her going up and down the stairs and I don't understand why they let her smoke out on the balcony the supervisor said it was okay I also asked the supervisor why couldn't he find a place for her at another facility he told his upper management they're working on it it's like almost 2 years basically they were jealous and they discriminated against me calling me names and I was just trying to help her they also discriminate against her because she's part Asian I thought that was real bad and I felt sorry for her because she was going to emotional and stress, the house manager had a problem sleep ,sleep disorder he couldn't help her because he was sleeping during the day I was the caregiver I did as much as I could I work part-time there at night they could have helped her out bring her food up or they could have cooked something for her to help her out but they never did she would be alive today if they would have helped her out and found a place for her the program is run by life mood I found out that the house is owned by the church also I came to work in the morning and she was not there they said they tried to get a hold of me that she went to the emergency hospital. I visit her at the hospital she had bruises on her back and hip when she fell down the flight of stairs in almost went out the window I don't understand why people are so mean and take advantage of elderly people that's not right it's not human, they had the nerve to file a missing person report on me as the caregiver I cannot believe this what they put me through. Not to mention they stole her personal property they tried to stop me from cleaning her room out and getting her possession and putting it in storage where she has her thanks they didn't even help pay for the funeral or anything I had covered all the cost and did all the work and moving her things out she wanted to be cremated and I fulfill her wishes. Also the house was infested with bed bugs I had to see my doctor because they were all over clothes and bedding what I don't understand why would the city give life money to help sheltered families especially when they discriminate and elderly abuse it's out of my comprehension I cannot deal with this kind of treatment.
They're only giving out Thanksgiving dinner to the clients that stay there we're homeless too this is the worst place to call for help I don't recommend anybody calling here
My Experience Was The Best Experience I've Had All My Adult Life... I'm Truly Grateful To Have Come To A Place I Actually Called Home For 7 Months Because That's The Only Way Staff Would Have It.. I Can Say If U Don't Feel What I Felt During Your Stay There Then Maybe You Might Want To Consider Humbling Yourself A Lil More.. IJS . I've Been Housed Now For A Week So On Behalf Of My 9yr. Old Daughter Aminah And My 5yr. Old Son Mister We Thank EACH n EVERYONE Of Staff And Residents Included For Helping To Bring Us Back Together In A GOD Bless Place We Can Again Call Home...
Great place for veterans to be. The place is really clean, most of the staff and front desk workers are really good people. The food could be a little better but one things for sure, there's plenty of it. You will never be hungry and that's a fact. If you need help because of being homeless, this is a great place to start.
Attentive, personable staff. Secure, gated property. Structured environment with mostly seriously motivated clients contributing to the stable atmosphere. Case managers onsite to assist with all phases of progressing towards self-sufficiency without being authoritarian or distant. The food really sucks.
Don't call it a homeless shelter. Here the staff is professional, the officers are solid and in sync, the case managers are on the case. As a former client and graduate for lack of a better term, all that it is promised is given and if all that is given is used, then one can find their way to self-reliance. Am very grateful to MSI.
This place made it possible to make live changing moves. I'm currently housed in apartment that I researched and put an application while I was there. I spent over nine months at that shelter and I saved over a a couple thousands. I bought two cars and learned about being responsible for myself in my homelessness. Thanks to this place I'm in a good position in life right now
MSI is a wonderfully helpful place to live, while reconfiguring one's life. The incredibly compassionate staff, are dedicated to guiding we male residents into self chosen career paths, while professionally informing, assisting and guiding us towards all available resources we otherwise would not have been aware of. A case manager is soon assigned to each individual, and a rational plan for the person is discussed and personally formulated with realistic achievable goals. Stable permanent housing is usually first on the list, thereby ending homelessness. Having been to several other similar shelters, i would advise the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors to absolutely use MSI as THE MODEL PROGRAM for all others, since a high success rate is the fundamental goal all involved diligently work towards.
LifeMoves Montgomery Street Inn has been outstanding in providing a place for me when I was on disability and unable to pay my rent while waiting for my claim to be processed. They do a great job of taking in people who, for various reasons have become homeless. The staff are dedicated and caring. They also do a great job of helping without regard to race, creed or color. MSI relies on donations and government funding and does not charge its residents. They also do a good job of assisting with transitioning their clients to a permanent residence. I am grateful for their help!
