For the most part the hotel was clean & conveniently located. There were some corners & behind things that weren't clean along with there being a couple of black mold spots in the seal of the tub. I forgot to get a picture before we left. Honestly, you can tell it's clean, but that seal needs to be replaced. The employees were curteous & provided great service. There are so many beautiful elements to the hotel. I didn't get a many pics as I would've liked to. I'd stay again.
This is a very nice hotel. However, for the amount of money, the beds are really firm, the pillows are firm, the sheets felt like plastic, and the hot water was very cloudy. The staff, on the other hand, were very informative on places to eat and very accommodating. There is no microwave or mini fridge in the rooms to store or heat up anything. I do recommend if staying here two or fewer days but for 5 days days or longer it became uncomfortable.
For the most part I would say this is a decent hotel, far from luxury as advertised. For the amount of money charged for the rooms I wasn’t impressed. There were several stains throughout the hotel carpeting. Rooms had no refrigerator for guests to use nor a microwave. Complimentary water wasn’t even provided. No streaming services on the TV, only premium channel was Showtime.I had to call the front desk more than one time on several occasions to even get an answer. Paying $55 for valet parking a night you would expect to receive good service. One of the nights we had to wait over 40 minutes for valet to bring our vehicle. Absolutely absurd, there was no apology or anything once they did bring it. Sadly I wouldn’t stay here again. There are plenty of other luxury hotels to stay at while visiting New Orleans.
My stay was terrible, I arrived on Thursday 7/7/22 and stayed until Wednesday 7/13/22. I can not give this place any stars. That was a group of 10 and everyone experienced something wrong with their room. We checked in and had to have $1,000 put on our credit card for at incidentals. Then I get to my room and tried over the bed frame which was sticking out. The edge of the frame was broken causing a sharp piece of metal to stick which could have severely cut me. Also one chair in the room was ripped on the armrest. We called the desk, the chair was replaced but we had to wait a day for the bed to be fixed. The other guest that I was with didn’t have their room cleaned for 3 days. They called and no one came. My room was cleaned the first 2 days we called the desk and no one came. On the 4 th day we had to track someone down in the hall to ask about cleaning our room. They didn’t speak English and didn’t understand what we were saying. Once again we called the desk and they said that the room would be cleaned. At about 3:30 we searched the halls to see if housekeeping was still on the floor. We found 3 girls and told them that our room wasn’t cleaned. They were leaving for the day but came and did everything except vacuum. The same day a guest in our group noticed that her bag of clothes was missing. The person who finally cleaned their room, threw her clothes away by accident . An incident report had to be filed. This was the worst time ever. We were celebrating my mother’s birthday and it was ruined. They hotel is not a luxury hotel, the carpet needs to be cleaned, the furniture in the room is dusty. The furniture in the lobby needs to be replaced. You are not allowed to use the refrigerator, there is no microwave and there is no shuttle for guest. All of us 10 had to call for our rooms to be cleaned. I stayed here in 2016 and it was a beautiful place. Everything has changed and I will never stay at this establishment again and I will tell others not try i stay at your hotel.
Good but not great! It was a nice comfortable room and looked great...however...the shower was not properly cleaned. It did not have a mini fridge/microwave...you had to take your food to the front desk to be heated which is weird. Also, the breakfast is way over priced for what they offer! $26 for what is essentially a continental breakfast and an omelette station with no one available to cook omelettes! Trenassè was amazing though.
The entire staff is so friendly and helpful, but I have to give a special shout out to Nira! She made our stay amazing and really went above and beyond to make sure we had fun. Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. Plus, the location is perfect!
Hotel was in a great location clean and the air condition worked really well those are the most important things to me when staying at a hotel. Customer service needed a little help one person checking out at checkout time the line got really long. There were at least 10 to 12 people in line and this was right at 11:00 so I thought that was an inconvenience. A lot of people have planes to catch and were afraid of being late. Parking very expensive it cost $50 a day to valet park at the hotel and then $25 a day to self park at the parking garage next door. So we used the parking garage and that saved us $25 a day most places we ubered to so if you can go without a car you probably be better off in New Orleans without one. They had a little restaurant inside of the hotel that was nice and it had a great happy hour enjoy the stay there and would definitely go back. They had a concierge there unfortunately I can't remember her name but she was very helpful and gave us lots of restaurant ideas and activities for me and my friends to do. I wish I could remember her name she was extra friendly extra nice and wore the cutest outfits!
I stayed for 2 nights for a conference. This hotel is clearly understaffed. We had booked the hotel months in advance because this conference has been planned for almost a year. This hotel was one of the sponsored hotels so they know to expect a large amount of guests this weekend. However when we arrived we had to wait 3+ hours after the advertised check in time. This was true for almost every guest that arrived the same day we did as there were many guests in the lobby waiting with their bags. All of my colleagues who were there for the conference we’re also waiting. One of my colleagues arrived at 8 PM and still had to wait an hour for his room. It was a very disappointing experience, and although the staff were nice there were no accommodations made. There was no attempt to rectify the situation. I definitely will not stay at an intercontinental again, and additionally I have notified the conference organizers to no longer sponsor the Intercontinental for their future conferences.
I was so excited to stay at the Intercontinental New Orleans. I paid for an upgrade to a balcony double. Prior to arriving in our room there were red flags but bearable. Got to me room and began my own wiping down. I notice a stain on the comforter and pull the top sheet back and there were three visible stains on the fitted sheet that did not look right. Even if the sheets were washed and those stains remained, the bedding should have been discarded. I called twice for a bedding change. After a while a man arrives with sheets in his hand and no comforter. So you mean I have to change the sheets myself?!! I show him the stains and he says I'll be back in five minutes. One hour later crickets. I am very disappointed that my trip to a hotel that advertises as a luxury hotel started so poorly.
