Without a doubt, THE BEST curly fries in the game. This is a great place to grab a drink and chill but I mostly come here for a late night curly fry sesh. Out back there are fire pits which is a nice touch. The service is always good too!Food: 5/5
This bar is amazing. This is my go to hide away, fancy cocktail bar. I have always loved this bar. Luigi always kills it and makes me feel welcome. Thanks for being a fantastic addition to my late night pub crawl. I cherish moments like what I find in this establishment.
Cool place to eat and hang out. Had the carrot soup and smoked trout BLT. What a great sandwich. Wasn't sure how it would work out, but the smoked fish was a great addition. Not a big drinker, so I really enjoyed the non-alcoholic options. The tamed mule was fantastic.Food: 5/5
Came here for a few drinks on a Sunday and it was such a pleasant surprise. We ordered a few cocktails, off the menu, and Ryan was amazing. It was a slow start to the evening so we were able to chat with Ryan and the hospitality was everything you could wish for. Anyone who lives in the area is in for a treat to have this place in their backyard. Would definitely recommend!
This place was awesome. My wife and her friend had just finished with a huge project at work and so we were out celebrating and bar hopping down Mississippi. We came here for a quick night cap and ended up staying for a few drinks and food. The curly fries and corn dog were great. I should mention that the curly fries weren't what you would classically expect. We are new to Portland so maybe is a regional thing, but there are short fat little things. Crispy and delicious nonetheless. All of the drinks we tried were delicious. And the best part was the very cool bartender who took care of us all night. He really made it a good experience! Highly recommend
Cool vibe, indoor and outdoor seating. Outside was covered with a fire pit, so it was nice even in the cold weather. I got the bartenders special or whatever it's called, it was excellent. They also had a restaurant, though I didn't eat there.
Loved the ambiance....dimly lit bar with wonderful music selection. Service was top notch....smiles all around, checking whether you needed anything without being overbearing. Drinks and food was good.Food: 4/5
I would come back for drinks and their outdoor backyard patio. It is well heated and protected from the wind. Curly fries were good and big enough to share with the 3 of us. Chili was a tad to sweet for my liking.
Our drinks were excellent, but the food was subpar. Corn dog tasted like it had been out of a while and wasn’t dipped enough, side salads were barely dressed, and the meat and vegan burger and topping to ratio is way off and makes the burger mostly bread. The fries looked incredible, so maybe the appeal here is mostly drinks and sides. I will give a shout out to the bar tender. He was slammed and was working at lightening speed to get everything done.
The space is perfect...low lights, a dark speak easy vibe. The food is inventive, elevating standards like fish and chips with a decadent tarter sauce thick with egg yolks, more an aioli than sauce. Specials like lamb belly and gnocchi, so rich and earthy. The cocktails are quite impressive, made with great spirits and expert mixology. The service we had was hit and miss. The two female waiters we had were great, but the one male waiter we had, didn't catch his name, in a black and white plaid shirt, had us waiting over an hour after our stellar appetizer of bone marrow toast to even take our food order. It was the only bad part of an otherwise great restaurant experience. Sad that one employee can sully a good meal that took 1.5 hours when it should've been an hour. Nevertheless we will go back, hopefully to experience the great food again and not one waiter's attitude.
