November 2022. Boy! Everything I saw looked very fresh. The freshness of the produce and flowers were beautiful. A little chaotic because of the other stores around but all in all I highly recommend.
I love coming here! The produce is top notch. I really enjoy browsing all the dried goods and juices. They have a great selection of herbs too. I also have to add that their cashiers are super nice and have always given me great recommendations. I come here every time I visit.
Produce market must be like this with lots of fresh options for every thing, fruits, veggies, salads, green leaves, herbs, ready to eat salads with great prices… customer service is great. Its situated a one end of reading terminal market next to By George Pizza and Pasta.
Pretty disappointed with this place. Came here yesterday specifically for shiitake mushrooms. After purchasing I noticed white spots and brought them back to the counter to ask if they were moldy. Two employees including security guy told me they were definitely not moldy and they sorta looked at me like I was crazy for asking. Came home that day and opened the package and saw every stem was moldy and fuzzy. Sad because I drove over 30 minutes to this location and wasted my money, I really wanted to support them.
Iovine Brothers Produce first opened their stand in the early 1990s, and it is their commitment to fresh, quality ingredients and exceptional customer service that has made into local legends. Today, it is a go-to destination for center city residents and visitors who want cheap, fresh, quality produce. It is a bustling corner in Reading Terminal Market where you can find a wide array of specialty produce in addition to the staple items you’re familiar with. Be sure to stop in for your common and exotic ingredient needs. From onions and carrots to gourmet mushrooms, exotic fruits and vegetables, cold pressed juices, and a whole wall of nuts, beans, seeds, dried fruits, and trail mixes, Iovine has your culinary needs covered. If you can’t find something you’re looking for, just ask a staff member. Chances are, they have it. Checkout lines can get long during busy/popular times, but they move very fast. When I lived in Philadelphia, this was my go-to produce spot. There are very few locations in the vicinity that offer as much produce with low prices.
Great selection of fruits and vegetables. Awesome location of Reading Terminal market. Always happy when I have the chance to stop by and pick up a wide variety of items. Always pleased when I go.
It's nice having this place at reading because you know how some of the shops are a bit *too* specialized so it's great to have someplace with generic veggie options to round out your grocery list. Been going here for years, produce was always fresh. I definitely prefer them to reading's...other...vegetable stand. If you like mushrooms you are in for a treat because they usually have various "exotic" types for sale you can't get at the chain stores.
Iovine Brothers Produce at Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia offers freshly bottled vegetable and fruit juices that taste great.
Pretty much the only place I buy produce in the city. Great prices, friendly staff and a great selection of hard to find items. Need those chiles you've never heard of before for that recipe? They probably have them. Non city dwellers can take advantage of the terminal's 4$ parking special.
Cute little produce shop within the Reading Terminal Market. It's one of the local favourites if you're looking for vegetables, fruits, nuts and in-house juices that's juices made on location and they're pretty good. The best part is, they're usually affordable, accepts Food Stamps plus seasonal WIC checks. Downside, it can get pretty crowded during the weekends and late afternoons during the week. Other than that, it's a nice little place to stop by.
