Iowa House Hotel

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! I drove here from Milwaukee for my cousins wedding & made accommodations with this hotel. A few weeks prior to coming here I emailed them to make sure I could bring my service animal (dog). They said absolutely! Well I get here, for my cousins wedding like I said, & I’m about to leave & they stop me saying I need to take my dog to the church as it’s “like leaving a baby” unattended. They also said it’s illegal for me to go anywhere without her. ANYWHERE. Also, no air conditioning & the breakfast was cereal & bagels lol. Take your money elsewhere people. Please. Also the pool is not on site & opens at noon on weekends for those of you with kidos (: ENJOY

There is hell, and then there is the Iowa House Hotel. If you enjoy pain and suffering, the Iowa House Hotel is the place for you! Pillows are about as good as an international flight pillow. Beds are glorified cots. Staff is a bunch of college students who enjoy getting drunk in the rooms and screaming loudly (at 2am in the morning of course). Bathrooms are nasty on a good day. Parking is confusing, as the parking lot right outside of it is strangely not for the hotel. Avoid this place if you can.

The rooms are dated but very clean. The staff was very polite. This hotel was cheaper than the chain hotels. The walls are paper thin. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

The place was definitely dated and not very clean...however the views were top notch as well as the service. Beautiful campus within walking distance to the stadium. Take shuttles at your own risk. Overcrowded and stuffing. Overall the experience is one to remember.

The location is the best part of this hotel. You cannot beat the proximity to campus. The beds were comfortable enough. The size of our room was smaller than other hotels but fine for two people. The Continental breakfast was not impressive. Coffee, prepackaged pastries, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal packets, bread and bagels. The juice machine was not functioning. We will probably look for a different hotel next time we visit.
