Ronald McDonald House Charities in Iowa City allows my wife and I to stay there free of charge during what has been quite a story of ups and downs. My son was born premature on July 10, 2017 at 26 weeks gestation. He weighed one pound and four ounces. We couldn't fathom the thought of going back home and we are not wealthy enough to pay for a hotel room for what could end up being a 4+ month stay for my boy in the NICU. Thank you and we will be forever grateful for this charity and this House. They provide shelter, food and comfort to families like mine, families who love their children so much we cannot leave their sides.

Caring and attentive staff and volunteers. Great facility. We have stayed here about 8 times from 2004-2017.

We stayed here for about four weeks in May in 2014. Highly recommended to any family in need of residence assistance while visiting for any treatment of their child. Very friendly staff and local businesses generously bring in breakfast and dinner almost every day. Sure, the beds aren't the best but you quickly realize that's not why you're here. Good wifi coverage and a nice backyard. This is a wonderful organization.
