This is the best ramen I've ever had in my life. Granted, I've never been to Japan, but it's hard for me to imagine it can get better than this. All of the appetizers and dessert were also delicious. Service was very attentive. Prices are reasonable for NYC. I'd definitely come back.
I had the pleasure of stopping in here this past weekend, and spoiler alert - I'll definitely be back! The place has an unobtrusive facade, but once you step in you are transported to a little piece of Japan in the city. Christina the hostess was great allowing us options of where to sit, although it was just starting to get busy, and offered some menu recommendations, which my party took advantage of. Overall, a great experience and amazing ramen!
I really like the open space kitchen and the bar concept where we choose to eat both times we’ve been. The facade isn’t the most visible but once you understand what it is there’s no going back…you must try it! The ramen is very good, although you have to get the egg as an extra. The side dishes were great, takoyaki balls were nice and in a generous portion. The buns were delicious, I definitely recommend the shrimp and chicken. The karaage was a bit disappointing, tho. Two big in size, big balls, too heavy and overcooked on the outside good portion tho, just not what I expected from this dish. I totally recommend the pork rice pot, it’s so delicious. The ice cream is good and tasted good after so much food I had. The staff is very friendly, I just didn’t like the pressure over the tip when I considered giving 10% on the second night, rather than 18%, as I think it should be me deciding what to give and not be forced to tip another amount. Overall the experience is great and I recommend Ippudo 100%!
Wow what a unique ramen experience. The burger was very interesting and the paste they used. I think the butter made it quite heavy while the paste was kind of salty. However the corn, bamboo shoots, and other toppings were delicious. Wish they included an egg. Overall 4.8/5.
Delicious. Not crazy overpriced. Everytime my water was almost empty they filled it. Best spicy tuna roll I've ever had. Had the the summer tan tan which was almost the best tan tan I had. I've rubbed my belly for 5 solid minutes.
The ramen got exceptional flavor, and it was delicious! It left a remarkable taste that I crave after leaving NYC and returning to LA. We got in with no wait and got seated right away. Customer service was excellent as well! 9/10: Recommended to stop by when you're in NY!
Beautiful decor, friendly hostess and service. This ramen spot is on the pricey scale for a very small bowl of ramen. Egg was an additional charge of upwards $3 which that is the price of an entire carton of eggs. Drinks are well done and delicious. Loved the open kitchen concept as they prepared the meals. This is one of the most elegantly designed ramen establishments in the city. Want to impress a date or spark things with a partner, bring them here! Overall incredible experience just that portion sizes are relatively small and the add ons are truly unnecessary considering the price of the ramen. However, delicious and tasty. Highly recommend.
Everything almost perfect at here. Ramen noodles soup is very delicious. I gave 4 stars because 1. served green tea not hot 2. Cook the egg too long a little bit maybe 30 second. But I still enjoy the ramen here.
The most impeccable Japanese restaurant I love eating whenever I visit NYC! The taste and atmosphere mimics those from Japan so it's worth the price and the opportunity to eat. My friend and I came around 12pm and we had a brief wait to sit at the bar. We didn't want to sit at the tables since the bar was more brightly lit and had a better feel for the two of us. We each ordered our own ramen, plus their Aburi Unagiri and Oishii Karaage. Both appetizers were top notch and was amazing to the taste. I highly recommend trying both, especially if you enjoy fried chicken and unagi eel. After dining, as we walked out, it was snowing outside and seeing it through their window was a nice scene to walk out to. The food and experience was worth waiting in the cold and it definitely filled us up before head to MoMA.
From the outside looking in, you did not expect to see a place with such a nice atmosphere. The dining area has an almost bistro feel to it, and is a great place to socialize with friends and family. The staff is very welcoming and extremely attentive to your needs. The moment you drop something on the floor or may need your glass topped off, there is a waiter or waitress coming up right behind to take care of you. While the food was very very delicious, I did have higher expectations going in. However, the menu was very diverse and I did enjoy everything that I was served! If you are looking for a ramen spot to go to, Ippudo Ramen Westsude is definitely top 5!
