I recently dined at 9th Island Grill and had a fantastic experience. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, and everything I tried was bursting with flavor. The portion sizes were generous, making it excellent value for money. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. The atmosphere was laid-back and perfect for a relaxed meal. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, 9th Island Grill is a great choice. I'll definitely be returning! Parking: Very easy
Great staple island food with a few slight twists. The Loco Moco is incredible. They use light brown gravy and top it with fried onions. A slight variance from the dark brown gravy with sautéed onions. The Garlic Chicken has the perfect crunch with the garlic teriyaki based sauce oozing out when you take a bite. The Chicken Katsu is delicately battered with panko and fried golden brown. It has a slightly sweeter katsu sauce than the old school way. But then there is my person favorite- the Fried Saimen smothered with Bok Choy and a grilled Teriyaki Chicken breast. The service however is give or take. It appears like they hire a lot of high school age kids so sometimes the service is top notch, and sometimes there are obvious growing pains which is normal and understandable too.
I placed an order for the spicy garlic chicken plate and a vegetable bowl. Although the spicy chicken was not as spicy as anticipated, it still possessed a delectable flavor. The crispiness of the chicken complemented the tenderness of each bite. The combination of the rice and the spicy garlic chicken sauce resulted in an exceptionally flavorful dish. The vegetable bowl was satisfactory; the vegetables appeared to be steamed, which is acceptable. Overall, I highly recommend the spicy garlic chicken plate. If you are seeking a simpler option, the vegetable bowl is a suitable choice. The service was efficient and pleasant. The server, Merceez, demonstrated professionalism and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is characterized by its relaxed and informal nature.
Taking a Keith Lee inspired food tour and this was my first stop. Good dining experience. Enjoyed my smoothie and food.
Great food on most of the items we ordered and great service! We really liked the tonkatsu ramen and katsu. The salmon in the poke bowl was a bit off, but the rice was great. The mac salad was just ok. I really liked the chocolate smoothie, but my son thought it was a bit thick in all the wrong ways. I would definitely eat here again in the future. Parking: The lot was a bit full, but there were still some places to park.
Very austere settings, clean and functional. Very extensive menu, take your time. The grilled chicken sandwiches are absolutely HUGE, and charred perfectly. The salmon was tender and cooked just right, and the combo plates are fantastic. Delicious, you must give them a try.
Delicious food, quick service and conveniently located! Good portion sizes and a great selection of Island plates, mixed plates, noodles, sandwiches, burgers, starters, breakfast all day, super bowls, bohemian bowls, poke bowls, smoothies, and more!
My boyfriend just went there to pick up a meal. They forgot the macaroni salad and they forgot the drink in a can . My boyfriend had asked her if everything was in the bag at pick up and she said yes. That was not the case . I called in to try to talk to the manager to see about the issue she informed me the manager was not there and left a bunch of little kids in charge. The girl that answered the phone. I think it was Ashley her name she wasn’t speaking clearly and didn’t even apologize or offer any solutions. She just sounded upset that I wanted to talk to her manager. I really like this place, but this put a sour taste in my mouth today. They have little kids working there that have no manners or any kind of customer service skills. There really should be a manager there all the time for situations like this or they should have some kind of training when things like this happen so they know what to do instead of being rude on the phone to the customer, so customers are satisfied with their purchase.
I saw this place on TikTok and decided to check it out. For a Saturday it was not busy at all and it was very clean the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I spend $44 on 3 things I ordered a plate half Katsu chicken and half spicy garlic chicken both meats were good I preferred the katsu chicken over the spicy garlic chicken the plate came with dry hard rice and the blandest macaroni salad I have ever tasted I added salt once I got home and it was still bland. I also got the island style poke bowl with ahi tuna it was just ok I wouldn’t get it again. Finally I got the PB lover bowl with açaí base it was truly the star of the show if I come back it will definitely be for that and that only.
We have been talking about trying this place almost every time we head to Costco for months now. Tonight we finally made the decision to stop and it was worth it! The staff was very friendly and greeted us as we walked in and were very patient as we looked over all the menu options. My wife and I both got the BBQ Chicken plate and we're not disappointed. The chicken was cooked and seasoned well. The atmosphere was nice and they had good music playing. We will definitely be back to try other plates. Always great to stop before you go to Costco or any other grocerie shopping if you are like me because if I'm shopping g on an empty stomach then I want to buy everything!!
