Patrizia is the best teacher – is so kind and makes you feel proud of your progress! Classes are basically private lessons you plus one or two other people so you learn quite quickly. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn Italian.
I started learning Italian with Patrizia here this winter and I couldn't be more glad that I made this decision. I love languages; I've been learning different ones since I was very young and I don't remember ever having enjoyed the learning as much as I do with Patrizia. The classes are small which I absolutely love and she customizes them according to our progress, where more work is needed, etc. and I really appreciate that it's not a cookie-cutter approach. Plus, there is a lot of conversation in Italian which means we're not just learning grammar, vocabulary but also how to put it all together, at the same time. And, to top it all, in addition to being a fantastic instructor/teacher Patrizia is a truly wonderful person, good-natured, kind-hearted. She's friendly, patient, funny, and she really keeps the classes interesting and lively. She encourages us to ask questions and ensures that we are left confident and without doubts. I think it's a great learning environment. Plus, I'm learning more and more about authentic Italian culture, including the food...so I think I'm going to be well-prepared for my next stint in Italy. I honestly believe this is quite likely the best place for learning Italian in NYC.
I am so happy to be studying with Patrizia Bigotti. I decided to study Italian because of my love of opera and I've enjoyed it very much. Patrizia is a warm and exciting teacher who is very patient. Her lessons are interesting and varied and she makes sure we are all talking during the lesson. I plan on continuing because I enjoy it and I am making progress. I also love to hear Patrizia speak Italian. The location is very convenient and the space is lovely and comfortable. I also studied with Valeria at Italiano Italia who was also a good teacher. I've enjoyed studying at Italiano Italia very much
I absolutely love taking classes at Italiano Italia. All classes are very productive yet fun, and the teachers are fantastic. Patrizia is always very kind and accommodating. I always look forward to the classes as she makes it easy to learn the language and motivates you to want to do better! I strongly recommend taking classes with her and her team!
Small classes, flexible structure to class depending on what you want to focus on. I love the selected readings. They're challenging but provide great fodder for discussion in class. As an added bonus, the readings provide thoughtful commentary on life that I don't normally encounter in English readings. After studying abroad in Bologna, the Italiano Italia Language School has been a great way to keep the Italian in me alive. I can't wait to return to Italy in part because of the classes. Patrizia and Antonella have been wonderful teachers, and I highly recommend the classes to anyone at any level.
Have been studying Italian, together with my daughter, under the instruction of Patrizia Bigotti of Italiano Italia Language School and we both love it. She is passionate about her native language and teaches in a way that makes her students just as passionate about learning it. Have always desired to learn to speak Italian and Patrizia is making that dream come true for both us. She is a wonderful teacher and a genuinely nice person. We both eagerly look forward to our weekly lesson and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wishing to learn Italian or further their Italian language skills.
I love studying Italian at Italiano Italia Language School. The classes are very small 2 or 3 people. There is a lot of opportunity for conversation the best way to learn, in my opinion. Patrizia Bigotti is a wonderful teacher- very engaged, clear, lively creative and fun. What could be better??
Italiano Italia offers a wonderful environment for acquiring and perfecting a command of the language, from beginner to advanced levels. I started about three years ago with zero background in Italian and now can hold my own in conversations about diverse topics as well as enjoy read Italian authors in their original language. Patrizia and her other instructors are rigorous in teaching grammar and usage, and yet encourage lively conversations with participation from every student, since the classes are small and the environment relaxed.
Patrizia is an excellent teacher, and a warm, friendly person. Her classes are quite small, the lessons are varied and well organized, and each lesson is taught with focus and enthusiasm. Equally important, Patrizia gets you speaking the language, which is the key to making steady progress, from the very start in a comfortable, supportive environment. If you are serious about learning or improving your Italian, you should come here.
Out of the 3 NYC Italian schools I tried, Italiano Italia was the one that gave me the best results. I chose the "conversational" level, checked my inhibitions at the door, and we dove right in. Patrizia's articulation is amazingly easy to understand, and her vibrant personality makes the class entertaining. Patrizia demonstrates a love for the Italian language and culture that is infectious. She will happily explain any detail. Her assignments were clear and thorough, and the discussions we held afterward reinforced everything we learned.
