J.K. Lee Black Belt Academy - Fox Point

We have two elementary aged daughters and go as a family. The girls love sparring and so does my husband. I appreciate the positive reinforcement of their hard work and discipline. As parents, we love how the girls are growing in their confidence in themselves. We also have found using and talking about the tenets (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, indomitable spirit) have helped us with discipline at home.

I originally brought my son here 4 years ago as an outlet for his energy and to help with his ability to focus. He has grown and matured a lot. He still has a long way to go, and often stands out from his peers, but while expectations are high here, the love and acceptance are amazing. I often find myself thanking the instructors for pointing out the good things my son is doing when I find myself focusing on the negative. As an adult who had taken classes here, I find the same acceptance and patience. I am proud to be a part of the JK Lee family!

Started at J.K. Lee with my wife and two kids last spring and have been nothing but Impressed. The instructors truly care about strengthing students in both body and mind. I am often surprised by the improvement in discipline my children have shown. I have also benefited greatly from regular fitness and stretching. Most of all I have enjoyed the community we have joined in J.K. Lee. My family is new to the Milwaukee area and between the summer safety event to the partiess in the park, even walking in the parade, we've really felt at home.

This academy is a GREAT place for kids and adults. We were enrolled there (Fox Point) only for ~2 months before we had to move due to a personal situation. Their emphasis on discipline and respect in addition to the physical aspects & self defense techniques of Tae-Kwon-Do really sets them apart. Kids are given extra credit if they submit a documented list of acts of kindness and acts of discipline signed by parents. This encourages kids to continue their best behavior at home. I noticed a visible improvement in the behavior of my 5 yr old. I'd call out Mr Gendelman here who's an inspiring leader and an great teacher of Tae-Kwon-Do there but all other instructors are also very dedicated. The place is full of energy and warmth. Great for meeting people and developing relationships, becoming a part of the community & most of all keeping healthy! Highly recommend the place for young kids but in general everyone. Just take a class and you'll know what I'm saying! :-)

Outstanding instructors that manage to tailor things to the individual student needs but always provide a challenging class. After sporadic years of running and weights, I joined with my daughter to have fun with her and try something new. The balance of flexibility, core work out, aerobic conditioning, strength training and mental exercise keeps me coming back for more.
