Jackson Barracks Military Museum

Excellent museum to see if you have access to a car. Lots of things to see. Museum is free although I highly recommend making a donation. Good source of respectful Katrina history. Many restored military vehicles.

Great museum, curator was very helpful, went above and beyond on a Saturday afternoon to show us around and give us a detailed tour of the facility. Lots of history here, they are in the process of adding more exhibits.

A great museum! So many tanks and planes! Kids will love it. There is an excellent section regarding Hurricane Katrina and the role of the LA National Guard during the recovery. We will definitely be back!

Really nice displays. I was impressed and how each section told the stories of the LA ARNG.

Small museum but they cover everything from the founding of New Orleans to the present. The curator and the historian are very knowledgeable. They have a variety of very interesting displays.
