Jacob L. Loose Park

Loose Park is an absolutely stunning and beautiful park. There is a gorgeous rose garden near the Northwest end of the park, where you can always find couples taking wedding and engagement photos. There is also a garden shop near the gardens, which is fun to frequent, and a traditional Japanese tea room that can be rented. As you walk through the park, there are many different activities for kids and families, such as a water splash pad, tennis courts, swing sets, shelters, and PLENTY of open grass space that is perfect for a relaxing picnic. The Loose Lake is also pretty to walk around and get up close and personal with some water fowl. Come to Loose Park for a relaxing morning or afternoon stroll. You will be in awe of the spaciousness of the park and the beauty.

This park is perfect to bring your pets to, have a picnic, or sit under a tree and read a book. It’s so open and green, and being in the middle of the city, it somehow maintains a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Also, the Hippie drum circle that occurs there on some days in the summer is a great experience that I believe everyone in their 20s or 30s to check out. It’s something different and a great time!

As a KC native, I've been coming here since I was a little kid. I think it's the best park in town. If you're a fan of flowers you must check out the rose garden when the roses are in bloom, just beautiful! There's a nice, big playground for kids, a free spray park in the summer, mile-long blacktop track for walking and running, tennis court, a spacious shelter and picnic area, beautiful trees and scenery. A great place for a picnic, or just bring a blanket and lay out on a nice day and watch the clouds roll by.

Enjoyed this beautiful park! I will travel across town to enjoy the great scenery. The walking trail pleasantly goes through the park through the garden of flowers and a pond.. it is clean and well taken care of..

Loved this area! Visited the park during about a month ago. The best part is it has plenty of space to sit down on the pretty grass and have a small picnic with fam. You can play games with family.
