To the half bald barber and your colleague - please don't hide my review from the public. Here is a photo of your work. Stay away from this shop. Muy mal peluquero. No vayas a esta peluquería. Was looking to get a quick cut at lunch time, but completely regret it. The cut took around 10 mins. There were two guys working here, they both wore formal shirts, and the half bald guy did the haircut for me. The guy was pulling my hairs and did a sloppy work. Needless to say I wasn't satisfied with the results and would never come back. And of course I didn't tip him. On another day, when I passed by I just walked in and say hi to this half bald guy and let him know my feeling in front of his co-worker and customers.
With so many barber shop in the immediate location! Jacobi stands ALONE. Sammy AKA.Sam scissor hands the best barber I have had in the area! who has become a great friend and great dresser as well to many more great cuts! don't be a hater or doubter this shop is the BEST in the area period. also his Mother is a great lady and the other barber are just as good.
This was the best barbershop in FiDi----I went to the best Barber ever Roman, he recently left, today I went to a new guy older guy, former High School principal in Romania….nice guy, but did a HORRIBLE job cutting my hair. It is hard to find a barber that does a good job, and actually stays in the area...
WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Worst experience I've ever had. I thought I was on Punk'd. I wish I was making this up. But here it goes. I walk in and the salon is totally nice - looks good. Elena cut my hair. Asked for a simple skin fade. She and other barber in the shop confirmed that they could indeed do a fade - and well. Elena began to cut my hair - all good so far. The whole time she is talking back and forth with the other male barber in Russian/not English. She began cutting and accidentally cut her finger - AND CONTINUED TO CUT MY HAIR WITH A BLOODY FINGER. Alright - that should have been my first red flag. The other barber stepped in and begins telling/showing her how to "fix" the fade she has done so far- second red flag. They go back and forth after she gets a bandaid. She says she's done - I check and my sides are very uneven. On a fade, it should be even. I point this out. They try and try again - at this point I've been in the salon for well over an hour and my hair looks like my 5 year old cousin cut it. And I still had to pay. Immediately left and went somewhere else to have it fixed. At the new shop - the barber asked me if I tried to cut my hair myself... I wish I would have taken pictures but it was so embarrassing that I didn't even try to document.
My husband always comes home looking so handsome after a cut at Jacobi! Their service is exceptional, very affordable and their talent is unbeatable. I tell all of my girlfriends to send their hubbies here!
Third time coming to Jacobi, and I have been consistently happy with the job they do. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Sam. I've been to barbershops where I feel unwelcome or infringing on their time, but never here at Jacobi. In terms of the actual haircut, they do a top notch job. Sam really knows how to execute what you want, and he also knows what is going to look best on you. Whether you're in a hurry or have time on your hands, they will always do a bang up job. On top of that, you can also get a free shoe shine just across the street. For 20 bucks, thats one of the best deals here in FiDi. All in all, highly recommend!
I don't usually leave reviews but this was a fantastic experience. Great haircut, amazing service, and chill vibes. Would highly recommend. Ask for Alex.
Atmosphere: Accented with crown moulding and Samsung plasma televisions, Jacobi Barber shop sets the bar for the modern barber shop. Offering traditional Wall Street barber services such as a full shave. Location- Located on Nassau & Maiden, the shop is a great option for bankers looking for a luxurious barber shop experience close to the office. ATM: Credit-centric? No worries, there's an ATM inside the shop. Royal Shave: The best part of the Jacobi experience was the vaporizer facial included with the shave. A pore-opening traditional vapor.
Sam was excellent. Fived a botched haircut I had gotten earlier in the week from a different barbershop. Everyone at Jacobi was accommodating and very professional. I'll definitely be returning.
my two kids got amazing haircuts here today, they were great with them, our last barber could never keep them still, glad I found a new place for my boys
