John was an amazing waiter! The food here is consistently tasty. Heavy and comforting the way you want Mexican food to be. The chips are perfect and salsa has a bite without being too spicy. Generous portions and fast service. It’s no wonder Jalapenos is so busy!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
The food is pretty good, service is usually good but the Togo is a mess. I got home with a 1/4 full cup of salsa with an almost empty bag of chips with my $50 order. They got the order wrong and, not matter how hard things are, they could have at least given us a full cup of salsa with 2 dinners! The bartender was not helpful at all but she took my money and tip fast.
It was fine. We felt everything we ordered lacking any kind of punch of flavor. For a place called Jalapenos, we were disappointed to find dishes generally lacking in flavor.Food: 3/5
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have been to. The service was amazing. Went in on the Friday before the Superbowl and got seated right away. We ordered a couple margaritas and they were absolutely amazing. We tried something new Jalapeno dip burrito and I'm so glad we did, not only was it cooked to perfection but they were very fast. Some of the best service ever. We will definitely come back.
I quit going there 2 1/2 years ago. I don't quite remember why, but didn't like the food. Last night we gave it another try and everything was fantastic! The place was packed on a Tuesday night and the service was great. By the time we were seated, there was a basket of hot chips and salsa waiting on the table. The enchilada platter was excellent and came out hot even though it was extremely busy. Very professional staff! We will be back soon!
I had and amazing time The enchiladas were awesome. My friend enjoyed her tacos. Next time, there will be time, there will fries ice cream. And there will be a next time. Try the Mexi-fries and the number 4 on the lunch menu. Excellent!
Awesome food and drunks. Perfect after Christmas dinner spot!Food: 5/5
It had way too much cheese. That made it hard to eat. I couldn't taste anything because of how much there was. I didn't finish. The shrimp taco was okay. The staff were nice and attentive.
One of the best locally owned Mexican restaurants in Kansas City. Great food, relaxing atmosphere, wonderful patio & awesome staff.Food: 5/5
Ordered takeout on a Tuesday evening paid $16 for 3 tiny tacos, 2 beef and 1 chicken and 1 scoop of sour cream and a small hot sauce. The salsa looked like it was left overs from somebody's table so I trashed it. There was no silverware or napkins. I've always dined in at this location and have always been satisfied so I will NEVER order takeout from here again.
