James Creek Marina, nestled in Washington, DC, provides a straightforward and convenient option for boaters seeking access to the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. While its facilities are modest and may lack the amenities of larger marinas, its central location near popular attractions like the National Mall and the Wharf adds to its appeal. Despite its simplicity, James Creek Marina offers a practical and affordable choice for boaters looking to explore the waterways around DC.

Free parking for slip holders & their guests. Bath house & docs are keyed entry. Grounds are pleasant enough, with picnic tables & benches. Views are amazing across the Anacostia River. Easy access to boating the Potomac. Trash and recycling bins are readily accessible. Perhaps best of all, there are two-wheeled carts for bringing your cargo to your boat slip. On the downside, the restrooms are not kept very clean, trash is not collected frequently enough & docks are often cluttered. There are a lot of rules that are posted, but not enforced, many of which cross sanitary lines. Neighborhood dog walkers often avail themselves of the property, using it as a dog park, letting dogs off leash to menace slip holders & guests. Security really needs to be improved.

One of my favorite places in the city. Slips are reasonably priced, the staff is extremely friendly, and the community vibe doesn’t get any better. My dog and I walk to the marina daily to see our house-boat neighbors and friends, sun bathe in the grassy areas and marvel at the jumbo-catfish in the area. It’s also the only place to get ice if you need some before either heading out in a boat, or elsewhere in the hot summer months.

Easy low key dock to sail off or post up. Next to audi stadium and land development but nice place to chill out or depart land from. Plenty of parking-pay to park or have a pass

What a great 1st experience, hey guys! If you change the PARKING lot lights to LED the money you save would pay for the newest wifi. Look at doing that in every CIVIL PARK LED Street lights the $aving$ is in the BILLIONS if you consider all street lights.

The staff is the best of the best. Friendly and easy to work with. I have been at this Marina for 15 years and it keeps.getting better. Thanks to the staff for making it a safe and great place to be at

Easy to get to and good access to see the DC city scape from the water. People are nice. It's peaceful out there.
