Janie's Uncommon Cafe

I only recently discovered Janie’s but it has quickly become my favorite breakfast joint around. It’s located in a humble corner spot of a strip mall but the inside is filled with colorful walls, decorations, and even menus. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, consists of both men and women, and sometimes you’ll catch the owner herself running tables with the rest of them. And of course, the “uncommon” menu doesn’t fail to live up to the experience of dining at Janie’s - it remasters breakfast and brunch classics with unique combinations of flavors and homemade taste! I’ve really got nothing bad to say about this homey sunday-morning diner at all... just be sure to get there early on the weekend, the locals love this place!

This place is always a favorite with the family. Plenty of breakfast and lunch options. Bountiful portion sizes. And everything I've ever had here is delicious. Not expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for. The hostess and wait staff are very courteous, prompt and mindful. The setting is an open concept and can be a little noisy, but definitely worth visiting.

Top notch food, great service. Mostly sandwiches and salads and burgers at lunch. Great onion rings, fries and sweet potato fries. Good soups.

The reason why this is 4 stars and not 5 is because the first time we went there we were greeted by the owner, it was a Sunday, the staff and the food was amazing, but the second time not so much. Second time we went there was a weekday, a Thursday, it wasn't very busy. We asked the waitress if we could sit without our third guest because we wanted a coffee and wanted to talk and he was only 10 minutes away. The hostess at first said no, so then I looked we looked at each other like "ok........" I think she could tell we didn't like it then sat us. If this was a busy weekend I would've never asked, I've worked at restaurants I know. There were a plethora of empty tables and our third person arrived maybe 8 minutes after we sat, if that. Other than that, their specials are my favorite. Always something interesting. I found them around thanksgiving time and the turkey plates were bomb!! The bread is the best bread around for breakfast places and the food is always very fresh and tasty. Always top choice for breakfast in the area.

It was my first time at Janie's,I have to say it was very good.the food was delicious and the service was great, if you haven't been there give it a try, you will definitely like it.very friendly
