Quaint spot and great selection for your under nourished tummy before your trip up north or wherever you’re going. You have a choice of out front of the cafe to eat or inside.
First, I have to apologize for stating a few days ago that I never used my debit card at this Cafe. I never heard of it and forgot I gave my daughter-in-law my debit card to get some sandwiches before we got on the AMTRAK to travel to NY. I must say that the sandwiches were very delicious. Again, I apologize for thinking someone used my debit card. Getting older is no joke…….lolololol. I hope to get some more food in the near future. Best regards, Deborah
The Cafe staff was wonderful but while I waited for my food a manager walked in and began to berate an employee for a mistake that she made the night before. There were customers around so I asked to speak to her when she was finished and said that I wasn't pleased with her decision to do that in front of customers and if she wanted to speak to her employees about a serious situation she should pull them off to the side because I definitely didn't need to hear their conversation. Totally unprofessional...no one needs to be humiliated on the job in front of the customer. I would have never done that on my job. That's why the 3 stars.
If you're going for solely a drink or two, I'd give it more stars but calling this place a cafe or implying it has food is laughable. I had the "BLT" which consisted of a singular piece of lettuce, a singular slice of tomato and bacon that was thin and flavorless all on an untoasted hamburger. I mean my expectations were low but this was ridiculous even at $6
The beers are affordable and the Happy Hour specials are always great. If you're on the train circuit, and want a drink, stop there and get one. And their pizza aint too bad either.
I was shorted 5 dollars in change and let the cashier know before I had even left the cafe. They had to count the drawer, I almost missed my train and they still refused to give me back my money. COUNT YOUR CHANGE BEFORE YOU WALK AWAY.
I almost missed my train because of slow service. I recieved the wrong order. They shorted me my hash browns! I want my money back next time i am in Baltimore! Very Poor cafe staff communication and speed!
Tucked out of the way in Penn Station, you wouldn't know about it unless you're about to catch a train. Still, it's a fun place to catch a drink if you don't want a crowd, and they offer a breakfast alternative to Dunkin' Donuts.
Dirt cheap happy hour specials and good people watching. It can be a little grody and I'd probably never eat anything from here. But surprisingly fun place for a happy hour now and then.
Drinks were reasonably priced, though selection of whiskey was a little lacking. Still, this is a Good place to knock back a few while waiting for your train!
