JBAB Auto Hobby Shop

Great place to get some basic maintenance done with plenty of space. It doesn't have a lift which was bummer but has ramps, Jack's amd jack stands. Plenty of tools to most jobs, no impact gun tho so bring your own if you got one. PLEASE open more than 1 day a week and keep this shop around as long as possible.

Looks like this has closed down. I have called over the last few weeks with no answer and shown up today 8/16/22 and it's closed. Sad since this was the last place in the area like it. Was great when it was open though.

This place is the best auto hobby shop you will ever go to You dont need to sign tools in and out, you dont need to take a class to use the lifts, everyone is super friendly and ready to help you out, every bay has anaair tool hook up, and the mechanic Wayne will always give you advice on problems. There is not enough good things to say about this place. I have been coming here for 6+ months now and I've made friends and learned a lot. I have no idea how this place has got less than a 4 star rating. Im sure its just people who have never been to other auto hobby shops and dont know how good they had it here. This place is a god send. 5 stars ALL DAY.

You can get work done on your car as well as rent bays to do your own work. If having work done they can help tell you what you need since you have to provide your own parts. However because I went to an auto store and they told me which alternator I needed and went to the hobby shop, the total was $210 135 part and 75 labor versus the $490 that the Firestone at the shoppette Saud it would cost. Go inside and check it out. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and doesn't try to up-sell you things.

The worst military Base hobby shop I have been to in regards to cleanliness. The floors were unsafe, slippery and dirty. The restroom was no better. Other bases keep your license until they ensure you have cleaned up after yourself. I will not be returning.

Nothing against the staff or employees, but the shop is minimally useful. I think the whole place has only two high lift racks, and someone is usually there bright and early to use it for the whole day. I won't waste my time anymore.

The shop itself is a bit filthy, but the tools are well cared for and they seem to have everything you would need. Bonus that there is a small store where you can buy basic stuff. While they do have frame lifts, there are only 2-Post lifts. :

This is a review for the car wash next door to the Auto Hobby Shop. 2nd lane from the left did not work properly. Accepted quarters but did not recognize full amount was paid. Unable to get a refund.

Useless, can't even do a simple tire swap without making an appointment because the mechanic that works there is the only one allowed to touch the machines. Liability blah blah reasons. Write up a waiver to sign and let me mount and balance my tires. Such a PITA....
