Nice atmosphere, very French. Brunch was ok. The food was good for the most part, but the eggs Florentine and sandwich bread were a little rough and dry. Service was a little slow but everyone was nice. I probably won’t go back. Hope this helps!
Truly excellent meal. Great contemporary takes on French classics. I highly recommend the Gratin Dauphinois, a true classic. Their Mousse au Chocolat is a bit thicker than most, but is a respectable take. As a person averse to mushrooms, the menu was a bit tricky to navigate, but beyond that and a lack of a cocktail menu, I have no complaints. Great French food.
Stick with the oeufs! The complimentary bread was cold and below average. The escargot was flavorless- not even salted properly. I sent it back which ticked off the server and started a snarky interrogation. “We sell 120 of these every day”, “tell me how they should be cooked” etc. Quite ruined the mood after a stellar morning at The Met. My son had the eggs Benedict and he OK’d them. Noticed a neighbor devour a large omelette with satisfaction. So eggs are likely worth it.
If you are in the area this is THE place to go for a lovely meal! Everything will remind you of a French bistro... the mood, the service and the food!! Exceptional!! I am afraid to say anything regarding the price ... but it is far less than any other French restaurant in the area and every bit as delicious. Highly recommend for everyone looking for atmosphere, service and food! On my go to list! I recommend you add it to yours!!
I was there for lunch. Good onion soup and I loved the French bread. We ordered delivery a few times and their onion soup is great. For dessert creme brulee is a good options.Food: 5/5
Lovely French resturant with a good selection of vegetarian options. I went for brunch and had the legume sandwich. It was really good! The vegetables were well cooked, the fries were crisp and well seasoned, and the salad was a nice nutritious touch! Price is reasonable for new york not a cheap bite but on par with most sit downs in the area. Would come back here again. Vegetarian options: Many mushroom and cheese based dishes available.
Seems more affordable compared to other french restaurants. Service seemed a bit slow however to be fair my friend and I are a bit chatty. Maybe the staff felt like they shouldn't interrupt. Overall we enjoyed a decent meal.
Accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant to meet an old friend from college. We enjoyed the setting outdoors which allowed us to chat, giggle and be silly over French styled horderves, wine and dinner. Jamal provided excellent service and we look forward to visiting again.
It was quite good. Not amazing, but quite good. The escargot was undersalted Why is that such an issue at so many French restaurants?, but very galicky, so nice overall. The duck my friend had was slightly overdone, but he still enjoyed it and ate the whole thing gladly. I had the tuna nicoise and it was delicious. That dish can go wrong so easily, but it had a lovely combination of elements and the perfect amount of dressing on the leafy greens. I wish the fish had been slightly less cooked, but I'm quibbling because I too cleaned my plate. We didnt have wine and the dessert menu felt a little uninspired, so we skipped it, but it was a tasty meal overall and I'm sure I'll be back at some point. The service was good too. Occassionally the staff was a bit over-eager to clear the plates, but they were very nice about it and the water glasses were always full, which I really apreciated. It was a very pleasant meal and I would certainly recommend the restaurant.
Food and wine were great. Would visit again.
