I never write reviews but thought this was worth sharing as the office would not share pricing in advance of my appointment. The doctor billed my insurance $410.00 for the visit/consultation and $265.00 to remove a benign lesion. I am in-network and after investigating I found the average in-network rate is $192.00 and $179.00 respectively. I'm left with a bill totaling $224.12 for a 20 minute visit. Had this been disclosed in advance I would have selected a different facility.
I waited for one hour, and a half, to see the dermatologist, and when I ask the receptionist, she lied to me saying, the doctor is busy, with lots of patients at the moment. When I saw the doctor, he said he was waiting for me, and his receptionist told him I had left. He apologized to me, and yelled at his receptionist for not being honest. Note: The patient before me had the same experience had to wait over one hour. The Receptionist have "favoritism" over selecting patients Very Unprofessional receptionist! They all talk out loud when addressing the patients personal matters- Sigh... Very Dishonest, Very Rude, & Un confidential! 10 Union Square East, 3C, New York, NY 10003 Dermatologist Receptionist of New York, NY at- Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
