It was too good to be true. Paul Sold me a dining room set. A bedroom set. Living room set. Paul gave me a delivery date. I only received half of the furniture. My mattresses was on the floor. the bed frame came in one week later. They delivered damaged furniture. They painted over the damaged furniture and delivered it. I field a claim it took 2 months for a new night stand to come in. and that one came was damaged as well. On top of all of this they charged my Credit card $600 more then they were supposed to The employees of Ashley furniture are two face Unreliable spend your hard earned money somewhere else if you have any issues with them file a complying with the better business bureau
Bought a couch from the place for 300 and impressed with the quality for the price. Yes there was water in the basement when I went but that just gave me a better deal on a pricier couch. The person helping me was very nice even though I was a smaller purchase and couldn't ask for more except their shipping for a couch that is down the block is a 100 dollars its as fixed rate. They have no control over that but still unless I am buying a whole furniture set it's not worth it. So it's knocked down a star for the water in the basement and the shipping but the water in the basement can be a blessing if you really aren't that picky.
Purchased a king size storage bed and a mattress on Nov 6th and was promised would be delivered in 2-3 weeks. I went to the store a couple of times and called the store about the delivery but never gotten any solid answers. It’s always “we have to check and will let you know” and I never received any call back or response. A customer service rep called me eventually and told me the bed will be delivered later but definitely before holiday and they gave me $200 refund for the delay. I accepted it. However the bed didn’t arrive before holiday. I got my bed and mattress delivered on Dec 26th already passes the holiday but the headboard was badly cracked on the back. I refused the headboard but accepted the rest of the bed and the mattress. The delivery guy did not assemble the bed because they said they’re missing the headboard. And they left. Lots of wooden pieces laying around in my bedroom. I have a 16 month old son running around in the house and it’s a potential safety hazard. Called the customer service and the Brooklyn bay ridge store. But no one can give me an answer when the headboard can be delivered and assembled. They said “we will check and let you know” as always! The guy from the store promised “will call you right back” but it’s the next day now I still didn’t hear anything from anyone. Very unpleasant experience. Would never shop there anymore.
Terrible. We ordered a couch/loveseat combo in early October. Were initially told it could be delivered next week. Then it became 4 - 6 weeks. After 5 weeks of no communication, I called and was now told "probably mid-January." Horrible scam of a furniture store. We will not be purchasing anything from them.
Don't waste your time and money. My partner and I ordered a sleeper sofa from here, spent almost $2,400 all in all. The whole ordeal has been a nightmare. The "air dream" sleeper mattress caused us horrible back pain and we were falling off the bed. So many nights of no sleep. After threatening a case in small claims and various other complaints, only then would customer service or corporate take any of our complaints seriously. After they finally agreed to replace the sofa with a bed, they were slow as molasses in ordering and delivering the replacement. It's been three weeks since we placed our replacement order and still no contact from them.
Waiting for my furniture that was suppose to be here last week. I bought it in the beginning of October. It is now October 23rd. I was told 2 weeks. I called them and they dont know when my furniture will arrive. Also, he burped on the phone during our conversation. I paid a few thousand dollars for this. If my furniture arrives in the next five days I'll add more stars. If not, im going to ask for a refund. I have a feeling thats going to be difficult.
We bought a custom made sleeper sofa by them. They shipped a non sleeper. When we called them, they stated, that the error is ours. When we convinced them, that they made a mistake, they promised a partial refund. That refund is pending for twice the promised time. I don’t know, if it’s the local management,or the company in general, but after this I sure will think twice before purchasing anything from them again.
Update 07/10: We ended getting our money back about 10 days ago after going to the Better Business Bureau and starting a case. Before that we also received a phone call from some higher up who said we were getting a full refund. No s*** Sherlock, if you didn't refund us, or back would have and if there was anything that he could do to make things better. Which was met with a resounding "give us our money back!". Also the fellow requested if we could drop the BBB case and take down the reviews... I think not. We went too Raymour and Flannigan last weekend. More expensive but looks like it will be totally worth it comparing to this furniture store nightmare. Update 06/23: On the 22nd we called Paul the salesman to make sure that our couch was going to come in and yes, finally it would. We were to expect a call on the 23rd to schedule a time slot for delivery. The 23rd, we waited and waited and just before I was about to disassemble our old couch, my wife thought to give them a call to make sure. Of course, lo and behold, she was told that we could expect our couch on the 22nd of July?!!! No Jennifer convertible, I think not. We just finished with calling our bank for a dispute and a full refund. You can stick that couch where the sun don't shine. Update 05/24: Called back the store to see what was taking so long for the refund. Other gentleman working there said he had no record of any refund and Paul, our salesman, was in the basement but should call us back. Spoiler, he didn't. Again tried, Michael Gale, again, not picking up his phone. Left yet another voicemail but I think it is becoming time to go to the Better Business Bureau. Update 05/22: After calling the number that was given below, we were given the number of the regional manager, Michael Gale. Of course Mr. Gale does not pick up his phone nor does he respond to several left messages. And to top it off, haven't seen the paltry 108 dollars either. Went to the store and found a nice couch, the Murray Road. We bought it, including the extended warranty and including the more expensive delivery where the couch gets taken apart and put back together in your home. The nice gentleman who sold us the couch told us it should be available in 3 to 4 weeks. We were quite happy even though it was a lot of money we spent. We get home and notice that on the receipt he wrote down 4 to 6 weeks. Ok, that's not what he told us but we were ok with it. After 4 weeks of hearing absolutely nothing, we give the store a call. Our couch never arrived, they, whoever they are, should have called us 2 weeks ago or so and let us know that our couch was delayed and the warehouse would not be receiving it before the 24th of june. Nice gentleman apologized, nothing they could do at the store, was out of their hands blah blah blah, here is 108 dollars compensation for the deluxe delivery. Yay, great, the couch that I should have already had in my house is now not gonna arrive for almost another month and a half. Really? Is this the Jennifer Furniture experience? We tell you 4 weeks but sorry it is gonna be 2 and half months?
we received our funds finally at 12am Monday Morning the 2nd of July this was after I said I was going to be contacting the Attorney General of New York. All said and done never ever do business with this company because this is exactly how they conduct and do business no matter how many sorry's and this is not how they operate IT IS HOW THEY OPERATE. They take your money, lie, lie and lie. If you want your furniture in maybe 4 months time sure give them a chance don't say I did not warn you all. UPDATE: as of Today the 29th of June I've not recevied my refund that I was promised. I KNOW I SHOULD OF INQUIRED WHICH FRIDAY they meant perhaps its in the next century. This company is a joke and they picked the wrong customer to lie to about this entire mess. I will be contacting the Attorney General since in reviewing so many reviews here on Yelp and Google regarding the same issue of non-receipt of furniture by promised dates they should get involved and see just what your company actually does with our orders. Buyer Beware! they LIE LIE and LIE. We were in the process of purchasing a lovely couch Murray Row Electric Reclining Couch. I say process because We have now had to put in a dispute with my credit card company for non-delivery of item. We went into a purchase agreement with a 5 year warranty with this company on the 14th of April, Paul our sales representative told us at the time it would be 3-4 weeks for delivery which we were fine with, almost 4 comes around I have no delivery dates, no contact with the company and called the store to learn that one our couch had not come in to their warehouse and I should of been contacted and was then told that it would not be into the warehouse until now the 22nd of June and would be delivered to me the yes people JUNE the end of in fact, I also noticed that Paul had actually written in on my receipt a 4-6 week window instead of the 3-4 week time period he quoted to us in the store. He offered me a choice as well Paul, I could A. pick a different couch OR B. take a small refund from them in as in they waived the delivery fee of 108.00. He also guaranteed me that it would indeed be in my house on the 24th of June. My husband and I were still not satisfied and contacted their customer service department in Long Island and they gave to me the number of their Regional Manager Micheal Gale who I personally called 5 times to not get a call back, until I threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau it was only then and THEN they they actually gave to me the 108 dollar credit back to my card. Now I am still giving them a chance that my couch would of come in and I called on Friday the 22nd of June to confirm and spoke to PAUL yes our sales person he not only said it had come in but said yes it would been delivered today the 24th of June. I hear not a thing the day before for a time slot until I call up the store I am not sure who I spoke with but was told now that my couch would not be delivered until the 22nd of JULY yes another month. I cursed and screamed and was told that there was nothing I could do but talk to the salesperson who lied to me yes that is how they treat people who pay in full a purchase of over 1,200 dollars. Nothing I could do? Do I did and got in touch with my Credit Card company for this entire mess and they are getting me my money back. I even called again today to speak to him and he would not come to the phone not a care was given of our purchase nor the unprofessional behavior. As I said They LIE LIE and LIE do not trust them and btw I am still reporting your company to Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General for fraud and basically hold my money and furniture hostage.
This store is fantastic! Jimmy helped us find exactly what we were looking for and was not only there when we needed him, but gave us the space we needed to try everything out. The furniture is lovely and the delivery men were careful and considerate. We were also given an amazing deal for the pieces of furniture we purchased!
