Phoned up about a 43" Sony TV repair. I really wanted to repair it. He said it was not worth repairing within 5 seconds. No price quoted or information given. OK - I get the honesty, but I want to save a TV from a landfill - I didn't ask about what's the best value for money. Eventually after a lot of digging, I sourced a replacement main board myself for $90 and fixed the TV. They could have done the same for me and charged $150 which I would have taken them up on if they offered.
Spoke to Marty about my beloved SammySamsung. We've had her for about 6 years and she had wonderful 4KHD. After a recent move... now we've got a sound and no picture. I called Marty at Jennings TV and he was honest with me, wasn't what I wanted to hear but he listened and diagnosed her exact symptoms. I was advised by Marty to let her go. she would cost more to fix than she was worth. Sadness. I'm beyond grateful for his honest guidance in the matter. My next love will be a Panasonic 65inch. But will always have Sammy Samsung in my heart. Thanks Marty!!!

Honest and nice. I had a question about a broken tv and rather than taking the opportunity to have me come in and charge me for a repair, they gave me their honest opinion over the phone - "buy a new tv." Appreciate that!
They were incredibly helpful! I called about a TV to see if it was worth repairing and the service tech gave me honest answers. He very patiently explained how the TV worked and what the likely problem was and why it wouldn't make sense to repair. All of the other reviews are 100% right. Wouldn't consider bringing my business anywhere else in New York City.
Just called to try and describe my issue with my TV and was told until they know the model of the tv they can't help. First and foremost didn't even ask me what seems to be the problem or asked my my concern about the tv. Was very rude to me and just hung up saying they can't help until they know the model and to be honest knowing the model would not stop anyone from telling me why my tv is stuck on HDMI2 but because he was fixed on know the model he couldn't even address something as simple as my tv being stuck on hdmi2 you don't need to know the model to know what my problem is with my tv ..knowing the model should had been second as the first should had been what's seems to be the issue .. will take my business elsewhere! The customer service in NYC IS HORRIBLE!!!
We are so very lucky to have Marty Jennings in our neighborhood establishment. He is friendly, professional & honest. He can fix almost everything & gives you an honest opinion at the same time. A rare find & a fine gentleman.
The other reviewers are not wrong. If you give this fellow a call about your broken TV, he won't entreat you to bring it in to check it out. He'd have to charge you for that, and, guess what, he'd tell you the same thing: your TV is not repairable. I was really impressed to have this kind of honesty, and if I ever need to actually repair any electronic device, I'm giving them another call!
Our television started to malfunction, it wouldn't stay on. The TV would turn on with the loading screen, but then immediately turn itself off. We explored the option of getting it repaired and found Jennings TV Services on the internet. The gentleman that we spoke to on the phone asked us a few questions and was completely honest with us about the TV. He let us know that the cost of the repair wasn't going to be worth it given the age of the TV, and that it would be more cost-effective to just purchase a new TV. He gave us recommendations for which brands/types of TVs to purchase in the future that might be better. We really appreciated that he took the time to speak with us and to provide us with his honest opinion. Although we didn't get anything repaired from Jennings TV Services, just based on this phone call - we could tell that the owner is knowledgeable and honest.
