I have been here with co-workers, friends, family and on dates. No matter what the company, it is always and enjoyable time and FANTASTIC, made from scratch, food. Every person I have recommended to go here, loves it. It's very small, so definitely consider making reservations first. But, you will not be disappointed by their homemade comfort food, mouth watering burgers, phenomenal starters, or even their delectable desserts!!!

This was my first visit to Jessop's. Old town charm from 1640 time frame. The town of Old New Castle is old time but clean and well kept preserving it's history. Parking is on street and tight but free. Jessop's is a two room old world tavern experience. The menu had a down home English flare. Food portions were good and meals were very favorable. Service was quick, polite and attentive. I will go back and do reccomend going there.

Outstanding combination of atmospherics and food. The authentic Colonial feel is palpable from the décor to costuming of servers and pewter platters. The crab cake platter enjoyed by 2 of our diners was outstanding and the Turkey platter was the Thanksgiving that I didn't have last year. Service was delightfully measured allowing us a leisurely but satisfied dining experience. The ice cream is not to be missed at the end.

Our family LOVES this place! We love to visit this cozy whole in the wall on nice weather days. The food is very delicious and the environment is warm....a step back in time. Some of our favorites are the fish-n-chips, the beer cheese soup, the pot roast, the Red, White, and Blue sandwich and of course the sweet potato fries. After your meal you can take a nice stroll along the cobble streets of Old New Castle or walk around the park along the river's edge.

This place really takes you back to another era. Fantastic local brews and full menu. Everything was fantastic and cannot wait to return. Our Bartender Benny made our night with his extensive knowledge of the beer and history of the place. Highly recommend!!
