Fun atmosphere, plenty to choose from on the menu. Pretty busy on a Saturday night, but service was wonderful, with a friendly staff. Having the gaming area for the kids is a plus. The BBQ was great, plenty of options and everyone was satisfied. Lots of Iowa State students enjoying a Saturday evening out.
We tried this place today for the first time. The food was great and our server Emily was awesome. She explained everything on the menu and made suggestions that we wouldn't have realized on our own. We will definitely be returning
Service was fine, the bathrooms were hard to find especially the fact that the diaper changing bathrooms are in the back. The food was ok, the burnt ends were dryer than at other Jethro's and had less of the sauce on them. I will say it is one of the better bbq places in Ames.
I drove 300 miles to Jethro's and it was well worth the 600 mile round trip for lunch today..we got the Iowa platter..and some brisket sandwiches..love the sauces..we got the raspberry habanero bbq..and the honey chipotle..I will definitely be back again..great smoke on that meat!
