We attended the dog pond event. It was a great environment. Everyone was very friendly and pooches were everywhere. I would love to come back and see what else they have to offer. Our family really had fun splashing around!
Love the pickleball classes! So much fun to learn something new. Coach Ferrel is awesome. A great addition to jcc!
We went for a birthday party for a 9 year old. The staff was on top of things, very engaging with the kids, and very friendly. The kids had a great time and I will definitely keep this in mind for future events. It was a little difficult but find the event and would suggest signs or something similar to help guests.
They have a fantastic workout gym! And an excellent boxing room with a plethora of equipment for boxing and for working out! They also have 2 basketball gyms, with 3 courts and a running lane in total. In addition to this, they have two amazing pools, an indoor and an outdoor one. There are so many great things that I haven't even hinted to. Also, the membership fee isn't too expensive. The highlight of the J is its phenomenal environment, and the unlimited amount of equipment to use in the gyms and courts. The only setback is that the basketball courts are not always open for shoot-around because of youth and in the evening adult programs that go on, on the weekends, and some weekdays. But besides that, this place is fantastic!
Met with a small friendship group here. Had a nice experience with youth who'd volunteered their time to spend part of their day on a weekend with children with developmental and/or physical disabilities. They had all kinds of games, a bounce house, served dinner, etc. It really was a nice center. However they have excluded hours for certain activities and/or persons not sure if it's based on membership or not. Overall beautiful facility with lots of programs to keep kids and adults alike entertained!!
Very clean, awesome staff and great location. This facility is family friendly and great for all
The Jewish Community Center is our second home. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with people who are willing to answer any questions. The entire location makes you feel safe and welcome. We highly recommend the fitness center, early childhood locations, and camps. I am so thankful for the JCC and all of their offerings.
Attended the Jewish High school world series, hosted by Columbus Torah Academy. The championship trophy honors the late Robert "Bob" Lane - Z'l. Ceremonial first pitch, by Bob's son Fred Lane
I used to love this place but now we need to waste our time to make reservations for a two hour swim that’s only available three weeks from the date you made the reservation. The jcc used to be my home but now with all this reservation garbage? No no no no no no no no oh and also NO this place is terrible. I used to be able to go here everyday and swim till 9:00 pm but now I can only swim for a couple of hours that I have to wait weeks for and staff is lifeguards are very rude if I could give this 0 stars I would
I attended an interfaith event [the Spirituality Network 2018 Living Faith Awards Breakfast] recently at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus. The food had been great; the facilities had been wonderful. I have been in that building only a few times because I am rarely in that part of town. The only odd thing that had happened while I had been there had been after I had gone outside for a moment to request an Uber ride to my next destination but I had found no outside benches not in the direct sun so I had gone back inside to look for a chair in which to sit while requesting my Uber ride. There had been no chairs in the entrance lobby so I had started to walk past the entrance desk, where, initially, the woman at that desk had not wanted to allow me to re-enter the building even though I had been there for the previous three hours [attending the interfaith breakfast] and had been outside for only 30 seconds.
