Bayer trespassed on my property and --aggressively-- refused to answer what he was doing. When I ordered him to get off my7 property, he laughed at me like a sicko...then got out of his car to threaten me with a fight. The man is clearly bi-polar or psychopathic. After his confrontation with me, he was telling people I had threatened him! Years earlier, I'd somehow cut him off while driving . He followed me all over town for 20 minutes, right into the police station to have a fight. The hearsay about him is sickening, from lawyers and bankers: Bayer using cameras to monitor his neighbors in Tie Siding (or visa versa); Bayer showing some kind of inappropriate interest in some banker's daughter he wanted to take out to dinner on his birthday. I found this listing and comment section because I'm about to put a property up for sale in Laramie and I wanted to see what name of his company I should put in my contract with all agents involved: that neither Bayer nor any employee of his company be allowed on site. Knowing that a lone wolf he is I doubt that anyone works for him in any capacity. I'll get a no trespass order against Bayer if need be to ensure that he stays clear of me and my property. If the man ever attacks me (again) I'll kill him in self defense without a moment hesitation. I think he's one of the most dangerously unstable people in Laramie and lives in Tie Siding for good reason- isolation from anyone, so he doesn't "go off". I hope he's started medication for his rage.

He has always been good to us. We have used him several times and known him for years he's been in the business for a long time and knows what he is doing. I would recommend him

I came across John when a friend suggested I use him as an appraiser while selling my house in Laramie. During the appraisal he walked through the house looking at the different rooms and told me how the house had changed since he originally appraised it several years ago which was some nice information. He gave me the appraisal later and it was appraised for lower than what I thought. I went to his office to ask him about it and he showed me the massive amounts of files he has on houses in Laramie that blew my mind. He explained the comparable houses that were used and why some others weren't used due to varying factors. By the end I was pretty confident that he had done a good job and that my expectations were just reaching a bit to begin with. Couldn't have been happier with the job done.

This man is dishonest, unfair, condecending, and chauvinistic. It sickened me to be paying $500 for, in my opinion, a poor effort in conducting an appraisal for my refinance. However, with the second round of trying to refinance my home, his name was drawn from the "lottery" again. We were advised to refuse him access to our home. This is how you can take back some control over this process. They have the ability to pass up a request to conduct an appraisal, then you're damn right YOU have the right to refuse him access to your home. I will never let anyone disrespect me in my own home, let alone someone who I am paying $500. John's reputation around town is that he is taking it upon himself to drive down the cost of homes in Laramie. While this is a rumor, I have had my own experience that supports this. I carefully reviewed his appraisal and the comps he used and most of them were not within the correct timespan, we know of 2 homes that were very simliar to ours, bought the same time we bought ours and at almost the same price that he did NOT include in his comps comparisons. Do not let this man in your home. You will either lose out on an opportunity to refinance, set a really low bar on your home's value history, lose out on a loan to buy a new home, and be insulted by his condecending, pompous behavior. I am looking into making a formal complaint, I just don't know how yet. But believe me, I will. I live in a small town and it does not do you well to develop a bad relationship among the people you conduct business with just because the government forces you to go through the process of using one of them. There is a way out, make your voice heard!

In response to the negative review , that home owner listed and sold her home for an amount lower than the appraised value she was unhappy with.
