Established in 1940 John's was started by John Sr. in 1940 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and in 1970 John Jr. opened a John's Maytag Home Appliance Center off of Naamans Road in Wilmington, Delaware. John Jr. has since relocated to a much larger store at 3309 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont, Delaware.
