Unethical billing practices on multiple occasions and the front desk constantly would say they would look into it and call back but would not, leaving me to have to call repeatedly. Dr. Min and her dental hygienist were pretty good so I gave them a few chances! Although I do agree with a below review that there was some shaming during cleanings and a lack of empathy. But this happened MULTIPLE times and ultimately I am taking my business elsewhere. I’ve since switched dental offices and have had much better experiences. As someone who has to get a lot of work done, I would recommend going somewhere more transparent and professional.
Dr. Dellesandro is very nice, but is not a very good dentist. There have been a number of errors in judgement he made that cost me additional pain, money, and, most recently referred me to the same endodontist, for a root canal on a tooth the endodontist deemed not to be required. When the situation got worse, as both of them should have understood, root canal was actually required and I was asked to pay the same dentist and endodontist twice, which I refused to do. I will find another dentist and/or endodontist to take care of it.
Dr. Dallessandro is a good dentist, not great but not bad. I was going to him for 20 years. My problem stems from their unethical billing practices. On at least 3 separate occasions I was overcharged . One time for a cleaning unbelievably. One time for a filling that took 20 minute's . Last time for a dental implant that cost me almost 10k . My insurance covered most of it and I paid the rest that the office quoted me immediately. 8 months later I get a bill for $205. Crazy , greedy. They make you sign a form stating you’re responsible for any charges insurance doesn’t cover, of course you sign it . I have Cigna dental which is a big company so when they quote a price they should know what will be covered. I don’t care about paying out of pocket I do care about getting bills 6-12 months later. I will miss Ming the dental hygienist she is great and the main reason I went there so long.
I'm extremely disappointed and appalled by the treatment I received at this office. I came in with jaw pain and an inflamed gum, I suspected either a cut or some food particles that I couldn't reach. I've been in pain for days. They threw in a cleaning, which I knew I needed because it's been an embarrassing number of years, but luckily I've had zero dental issues until now. Unfortunately when you live paycheck to paycheck, dental healthcare takes a backseat. I also have trauma associated with dentistry childhood painful dental work without anesthesia - thank you other country. I am an adult and I know that some things are unavoidable however and dental work not being anywhere near pleasant is expected. What I didn't expect is for the hygienist to shame me. When asked repeatedly why I waited so long for a cleaning, I explained that I couldn't afford it. I asked if this was going to hurt, and she exclaimed "of course it is! What did you expect?! I have my work cut out for me, it's going to hurt and you will bleed a lot!" She took this as a personal mission and proceeded to be extremely rough including scrubbing parts of my mouth that have NEVER been touched by any other dental pro and I asked friends who also said this is unusual which included the soft connective tissue between my tongue and gums. Needless to say it was extremely painful and there was a lot of blood. I have had cleanings before where I never shook from pain, this felt like torture. When she saw that I was wincing, she scolded me and said she wasn't going to stop every time I moved and that "no pain no gain". Again, I primarily came in for an emergency due to pain. I kept asking her to take a look at it to see if anything was stuck there and she ignored me. She said because it was the gum around my wisdom tooth, I just had to get it extracted. For the record I have all my wisdom teeth in, no issues whatsoever. No impacted teeth, nothing hurting the surrounding teeth. This was confirmed by another dentist in my past. Finally the dentist comes in, and not Dr Dellassandro who was highly recommended and whom I originally scheduled with, and proceeded to spend 2 minutes in the room looking over the cleaning and said "you need to go get all 4 teeth extracted asap". No reason as to why. In fact the NIH recommends NOT to extract wisdom teeth if there are no problems. She wanted me to go get that done asap and when I said I wasn't able to do that, she demanded to know why! Because I'm not made out of money and I need to understand your reasoning. I kept asking her to take a look at my swollen gum and she kept ignoring it, again the main reason why I was there. Instead she kept repeating that it is swollen because I keep biting it, and it's because I need to get the perfectly healthy wisdom tooth out. This is the first time this is a problem, the gum is swollen because something irritated it, and it's not the tooth. She refused to listen and again said that everything will be resolved once the extraction is complete. They did not address/ fix any cavities either. Again I did not come for a cleaning but was happy to have that scheduled. I left without any medicine, any helpful advice that addressed my concern fearful that it was an infection, and told to go get it resolved with the surgeon. I'm extremely appalled at the dismissive and unprofessional attitude. I left in tears, in pain, and worried that I wasted time and money and have not have my concerns addressed at all. I expect a higher level of care and empathy from healthcare professionals.
I've always had a very positive experience at Dr. Dallessandro's office, where I've been a patient for over 10 years. He is a very skilled dentist - he saved me from needing root canals on two severe cavities I had; and Min, who has been my hygienist for the duration of my time as a patient, is truly the best at what she does. She is extremely thorough in her work. You can't get a better cleaning anywhere else!
Excellent experience across multiple visits. Routine cleaning was thorough and gentle. Intake, billing and scheduling is very professional. I called a week before my appointment to slide my time earlier in the day — they went above and beyond to check with another client and squeezed me in. Highly recommend this dental office.
As you see the reviews below the doctor is great. I haven’t personally experienced him being MY Doctor but being in his present is a wonderful energy. However his “ Office Manager “ Richard is a nightmare. I was “hired” as a treatment coordinator for this practice. My first 10 minutes there he was legit gossiping about a patient and complaining about her dental situation to me. He actually hung up on her I was shocked. I automatically knew he was extremely unprofessional. He comes off as a nice gentleman however you will soon see he is actually inconsiderate and unorganized. Definitely be aware and be very careful when coming to this practice and dealing with him. Jessica , Lisa & Theresa are amazing front desk staff and the practice is lucky to have them.
Always the best dentist experience with Dr. D. I’ve been his patient for 20 years and have recommended him to many friends and colleagues. Aces all around, great hygienists, clean office and very efficient in regards to wait time. I just visited during the Pandemic and the office is safe and takes all precautions to provide a safe environment to all their patients. Lisa Felszer
The dental office is well run and one feels that great care is given to any pandemic protocols. Dr. Dellesandro is personable, professional and works at a good clip. One feels confident in his care and he tries to keep his patient comfortable while working on a tooth. He is very adept and skilled. I have referred two friends to Dr. Dellesandro and they were also pleased.
Dr. Dallessandro has been my dentist for over 20 years!! He does impeccable work! I trust him implicitly to do what’s best for any situation which arises!!
