Any morning you go here, be it weekday or weekend it is always crowded and takes a while to get your order if not placed before hand. Usually get everything bagel with cream cheese and egg, it always tastes fresh and nice. A good go to bagel place.
I just hope whoever is reading this its not too late. DO NOT start your day off with a bagel from here they are nearly inedible. Please do literature anything else for breakfast and don’t learn this lesson the hard way like I did. Soggy bagels and yet somehow still dry as cardboard. Everything bagel was basically plain it had so little seeds. I could go on and on. Not sure how they are even open.
Used to go every morning before work. A little pricey. But the cold sandwiches have no meat on them anymore !
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Went there for a Turkey, egg, and cheese, and they gave me ham. I cannot eat red-meat. Went back to the store to show them and tell them and when the cashier realized, she threw it out. She went to tell the cooks and they were all in disbelief when they realized the order was with Turkey and not ham. She’s whispering to the other cooks repeating to them that I can’t eat ham. Then she comes back to me and says that the meat was actually turkey and not ham, as if I don’t know what ham looks like. And as if I couldn’t hear her talking to them. Then for me to change the meats I had to pay a dollar extra, when they were the ones who initially got my order wrong. Terrible establishment. Terrible customer service.
To sum it up: Horrible service, vile coffee, good bagels. The rude cashier woman needs to find some joy in life. Just lost another customer, jersey is not sparse of any good bagel spots.. PEACE
JPs is my top 1 bagel spot in Hoboken. It's a bit far from me, but it's worth the extra trek because it's that good. In terms of the bagels themselves, JPs is probably the best in the city #2 at worst. But the way they make sandwiches is better than anyone in Hoboken. Also I haven't found another spot in town with Egg Everything bagels. The flats are outstanding too. The breakfast sandwiches hit the spot every time. And I personally love getting lunch sandwiches on bagels, and no place does it better than JPs. They load up the bagels with everything I want. Great spot. Worth the walk, worth the wait, worth the price.
the bagels are good, but the cashier is ridiculously nasty and aggressive. makes you want to not even bother over paying for a bagel you can find anywhere else. she needs to change her attitude or find a new job.
I have been coming here every week for nearly two years. Brandon knows my name and order, but I will not be coming back after today. I ordered a hot coffee and it tasted extremely burnt so I asked for another one or iced but the women at the cashier gave me the upmost of attitude and disrespect. This is how you loose a regular customer, time to find a new bagel spot.
Great bagel and cooked fresh. Would recommend sausage, egg, cheese on a everything bagel. Would definitely go back
I was picking up my sister, BIL, and niece up from EWR, who were visiting from Hawaii, from a redeye and told them I would get them a nice NYC brekkie and yes, I know this is Hoboken but you gotta work with what you got. JP's was the only place that was open on a Friday at 6 AM, so I called for a pickup order, and everything was ready on time. We ordered the Nova Lox Sandwich, BEC on a roll, Sausage and Cheese on a roll, and a side of hash browns. I tried a bite of the Nova Lox and it wasn't bad. I ordered the sausage and cheese for myself and to my surprise, it came with two sausage patties unlike the the delis in NYC, which come with one patty, which is still more than enough for me - so I wasn't expecting that, but I wasn't mad at it. I couldn't finish the entire sammie but I still enjoyed it. The side of hash browns also unexpectedly came with two but again - no complaints here. I wish I found out about this place pre-Covid when I was still commuting to work, since it's so close to the Path. But now that I know about it, I will definitely be coming back.
